Title: Rockman(Japan) Romhacks as Mega Man 8 Bit Death Match Dooms
Post by: Vajaran Nall on February 22, 2014, 07:40:22 AM
I am a newbie to cut stuff.net forums and I've watched a full playthrough of the MM8BDM expansion called the "Rockman No Constancy expansion". Feeling inspired after hearing so much about this project, I decided that it isn't such a bad idea for MM8BDM to have the rest of its original mega man gameplay based on romhacks of the original NES titles.

Popular romhacks such as, rockman 5 dood in gate, rockman 5 dood in wily's last, rockman 6 innocent, rockman 6 skype, rockman 4 minus infinity, rockman 1 claw, rockman 2 claw, rockman 3 claw, rockman 2 gray zone and mega man odessy.

I'll be more than glad if anyone can post a good spoiler picture or drawing of how the doom would look.

I need advice on the weapons and graphics. :)

I'm flattered that you got inspired from my vids! also the Rockman 4 Minus Infinity expansion is already underway and so is the Rokko-chan expansion as well and finally you should first learn how to make weapons and stuff  are made here (and get good at it) before even trying to help in anything. Trust me on this! Making weapons, maps, graphics, and other things Takes ALOT of time and patience to even get things working the way you want it to.

No it isn't; we've been dead in the water for months.  We finished most of the skins and bots, Lightning-Man's level (Which half the team didn't seem to be fond of anyway); but no weapons were ever completed, the majority of the maps were never started, and...yeah, we're very, very dead.

On topic:  Odyssey isn't even finished yet, and I believe Innocent and Skype are not as well.  4MI is already in production, and I don't care enough about the rest of them to have any clear-cut opinion.

There was a certain expansion being made secretly and it was very related to this. I think I should let the main person in charge of that expansion describe it though.

Honestly I would love to see some Greenay Zone in 8BDM. That hack is brilliant.

I made three weapons for Deus Ex Machina (even though it's not up there...), so you could use those if you give credit.

I worked on a full Dues Ex Machine classes mod awhile back. I didn't finish the full thing though. It was a lot of work.

I've also made hack weapons, such as Destroy Spear (2 Claw), Knight Claw (Luckyman5 3), Ultra Beam (Ultra), Synthesizer (DEM) and Tri Shot (Ultra 2).

They should've added the rockman 6 Skype expansion. I would've loved to see demon torch being used in 8bdm as well as wind man's vertical draft a upwards cyclone like weapon.

You shouldn't get your hopes up sir as the main MM8BDM releases will almost definitely be doing officially released games only. And please watch the thread bumping.
