Title: Servers shutting down ?

I don't know if it has something to do with v4 being about released or if my Doomseeker is getting old,but there's less servers than usual.


Yeah,i know,there wasn't any need to post a topic for this but hey,how could i ask this to everyone ?

No, Best Ever just probably had a reset on servers. It happens every once in a while.

I originally thought you were having a problem getting kicked or something based on the topic title.

Anyway, Doomseeker and Zandronum both have weird reactions when trying to find servers on certain connections, the number of servers available often varies based on connectivity.

All I can suggest to go to options -> configure to make sure your master server list is set to "master.zandronum.com:15300".
Freaking grammar, placing a period on the inside of the quotes there would cause confusion.

Every day, several servers are put up and taken down, so seeing different numbers of servers is common.

Also yeah, sometimes Best-Ever purges its servers on all branches, which makes sense because too many people put up servers and never take them down.

Edit: Oh right, 8BDM's release cycle has no impact on the servers as it is simply a mod of Doom and has nothing to do with servers hosted on it.

Best Ever sometimes shuts down all its servers for updates. In this case, it seems to have been for the purpose of their April Fool's prank (changing the listed locations of new servers to be random things instead of New York). People will get their servers up and running again eventually; just give it some time.

Servers no shutting down.
If you run "doomseeker-portable.bat", configure it, you can easily access to servers.
