Title: Mega Man's Mega Buster
Post by: Deviddo on September 11, 2010, 12:43:09 AM
Uh, What arm is it officially on?  It seems to be on either or in many official arts.

Originally the right arm in general.
(click to show/hide)
Though he can generate one on either arm for emergencies or for enhancing his attack. I guess the Megamix Manga where he get's his arm sliced off by Quick Man and Super Adventure Rockman ((pic curtsy of Brotad))are perfect examples of him executing this.

I see, thanks.

Doom, as much as I LOVE Mega Man Legends, it may be different for seperate series.  I said Mega Man, meaning the one in the Classic.

It's on his left arm in Legends.  :l

Capcom just flipped the sprites.  In other words, lazyness.

The 'power' of the mega buster.
That thing is a joke.

Since some of the original 6 Robot Masters would flinch after you hit them with it, I suppose you could interpret sequels as having a less powerful version.  Or, it could just be poor dialogue.  At least it can shoot through walls, unlike the Bass Buster.

He seems to be ambidextrous. In some official art, he is seen using his LEFT hand. in others, he is seen using his RIGHT hand. And both arms have the same design.

I often wondered where his other hand went when he started shooting

It's whichever hand he wants it to be.

BINGO! Because both hands supports the Buster.
Now, a neverending question: Why can't you use your other hand's buster as you have fired his arm with MM7's Rush Adapter or MMV's fully charged shot?

For Mega Man, that's the equivalent of patting your head and rubbing your stomach at the same time.  He just can't do two things at once unlike some other robot masters.
