I have a gamemode mod idea/request that is based on a GMod gamemode called PropHunt.

Rules:
1. There are 2 teams, one called Props, and the other called Hunters.
2. The prop's goal is to hide from the hunters by disguising a prop on the map.
3. The hunter's goal is to find the props and kill them, and when they hit something (except for the air, floor, and walls) they take damage, and eventually die.
4. If all hunters die, or time runs out, the props win.
5. If all props are killed, the hunters win.
6. When the round starts, the props have 30 seconds to hide, and during this 30 second hiding time, the hunters are blinded until time runs out.

Prop Team Weapons:
1. Weapon Name: Prop Switcher
Info on Prop Switcher: The props use this to switch props on the map.

Hunter Team Weapons:
1. Hunter Buster
Info on Hunter Buster: You shoot out normal buster fire and you can charge it up.

2. SMG Buster
Info on SMG Buster: When you shoot with it, you shoot machine-gun fire, and when you right click with it, it fires a small missile that goes in an arc and explodes when it hits the floor.

3. Arrow Shooter
Info on Arrow Shooter: It works just like the Centaur Arrow.

4. Rocket Buster
Info on Rocket Buster: When you shoot with it, it shoots out a missile (or rocket) that goes straight and when it hits a prop, a wall, or the floor, it explodes.

Prop Team Skins:
1. Dr. Kleiner from HL2 (you can make your own Dr. Kleiner skin, but for the walking animations, have him just standing.

Hunter Team Skins:
1. All skins (even custom skins) except for the Dr. Kleiner skin.

If you are going to make this kind of gamemode mod, I'll help you with the weapon sprites, prop sprites, and the other sprites.
Also, include the skin of me as a hunter skin, but this one has different weapons.

William0918 Skin Weapons:
1. SMG (from HL2)
2. Shotgun (from HL2)
3. Pistol
4. Metal Blade
5. Rocket Launcher
6. Spread Gun

How Each Weapon Functions:
SMG: When you hold the shoot button (left click on the mouse) with this, you shoot out machine-gun fire, and when you right click with it, it fires a small missile that goes in an arc and explodes when it hits a prop, the floor, or the wall.
Shotgun: When you shoot with this, it fires a bullet that goes straight until it hits something.
Pistol: When you shoot with this, it fires out 3 bullets that go straight.
Metal Blade: Functions the same as the Metal Blade in the real game.
Rocket Launcher: When you shoot with this, it shoots out a rocket that goes straight and when it hits something, it explodes.
Spread Gun: When you shoot with this, it fires out 3 bullets in a spread-shot.

Note that the weapon info on the normal hunter weapons is how the weapon functions.

Meh, we don't need HL2 stuff to make a PropHunt mod. We could make something like what hypnotoad made for DooM. Except using megaman stuff.

But how can the props switch into other props?

Alright, lets get a team of people for this project! Of course, I'll be the leader of the project and I need people who can make maps, props, and items, someone who can code, and someone who can . I'll be the sprite and weapon maker.

It's more difficult than it seems. Keep in mind that I'm writing this without having played the doom variant; I'm only providing insight(?) on how things would work here.

There aren't a lot of "misc" props to be used and most people don't mindlessly throw props right in the middle of their maps.
"Then let's create props and put them in the maps!" Ha, no. Maps would need map spots or something to create basic prop areas and most maps don't contain those. "Then let's make the starting props where health/ammo/weapons/spawns are!" That'll make things too easy to guess.

Your best bet would be to create custom maps made specifically for this, but good luck with that as no proof of progress has been made or shown on this yet. Get some starting work done so people who invest time into this won't have it lost for nothing.
