Title: General Project Discussion
Post by: Jdude330 on June 27, 2014, 06:27:18 PM
Talk about what you've done with Projects! It can be anything you don't feel belongs in a project's page, or if there isn't one. It can be anything pertaining to the things you've been doing with them.

Hrm. I suppose this isn't exactly the wrong place to put this, but I feel like it would work better inside the Project forum. I do support this kind of topic though- might help people posting maps and screenshots of their projects into a place where they can receive proper recognition, instead of them just getting buried in the General Screenshots Thread.

There isn't much to see with DOS or Co-Op from me, at the moment. I'll be sure to post here as well as their respective topics if I get any updates on either.

The mods already moved it. It started in W.I.P Forum

I've got a good start on team coloring the core weapons. All of MM&B is functional, sans Treble Boost, as well as a few MM1 weapons and a few busters. Lego showed me a good way to optimize it using SXF_TRANSFERTRANSLATION so now I intend to go back and clean up what I have. After MM&B is done, it should be pretty easy to finish up everything else.

To have a little more leeway in coloring projectiles, I also slightly changed the team colors. Hopefully I can also figure out how to get charging weapons to flash as well.

I may as well reveal what I've been doing, as I'm about 1/4th done currently.

I little bit ago, I posted this screenshot:

This is a small little texturing project of mine, which I took up in order to practice aesthetic details in a map.
I'm re-texturing all of the maps from the first game (with Oil Man and Time Man as obvious exceptions) with the Wily Wars textures that NemZ made.
Not exactly sure what I'm going to call the project, or if I'm going to allow myself to take creative liberties with the layout themselves (one change I'm still deciding is whether to place Napalm Bomb back on Cut Man), but I got the idea back when Wily Tower stuff was in development for v4 and I figured I may as well go through with it.

Have a few more screenshots!

Looking good! I'll definitely download it once it comes out.

I'm not altogether fond of MM1's textures anyways, to be honest.

Well, I've got a few projects I've been meaning to start/continue. Most aren't even related to 8BDM.

But I'll just wait it out and watch some more videos for a while...

Guess this thread is here to stay. Anyway, my primary activity will still be in my Workshop thread, which can be found on the Projects forum, of course. I've been doing little bits here and there, but since I got some help with graphics, I may be on my way to finishing up the complete Mega Man 1 & Mega Man Powered-Up Enemy and Boss Resource. That means that all of the enemies and (most) of the bosses from Mega Man 1/Powered Up have been recreated in 3D, and can be added to future Coop/Invasion/whatever maps. I suppose I should write up a readme file on how to use the resources...

I should get back to KNDM maps sometime. I plan on entirely remaking KNDM04 since it was outright disliked for being bland. I also finished a map for the next release, which is based on Sewer Surfin' from TMNT IV. Then, there's two other maps I started for said update, one of which is the Amazon one from NES Ducktales. I'm half tempted to use the remastered track as an easter egg.

I'm also going to remove Boost man's map from the pack coming next update. Don't worry, I've a good reason for that.

While I don't make projects, I use projects to have some fun.
For Example: Breaking CPU Bots.
I'll show Justified for now:

EDIT: been messing around updating projects for v4a
