Recently finally played the first one.For shame, Korby. I didn't start getting frustrated and ragequit repeatedly 'til level four!
Level one was easy, then I got hit in the face by Medusa heads a lot in level three. I stopped playing. I should probably beat it sometime.

People give Castlevania II a bad rap, but it's one of my favorites.
And it lays the foundation for the "metroidvanias" of the future.
New CastleVanias look rather boring and way too easy to me. If anyone can prove me wrong about this, I will be pleasantly surprised.
It wasn't the music, let me assure you that.
It's probably the fact that:
1: It was long
2: It really wasn't needed
3: It didn't have fitting music (though, this is the least important factor)
4: The video's pretty slow...
5: Simon wouldn't knock out random villagers.
6: Why would random villagers, from medieval times, be saying "NOOB"?
Black screen intros are never funny.
