Title: Keep getting this error...

Pretty much what happen was that most of the files I had were on my desktop and mixed in with others. So wanting to start from scratch, I deleted everything. Now it seems it was a bad mistake >_>

I tried downloading MM8BDM again, but every time I seem to open the zip file, I always receive this error.

Mind helping me out please?

An obvious answer is try getting a extraction program like WinRAR or 7-Zip, then extract the contents from the zip into a desired folder.

Did that and now it's saying that either the file is corrupt or damaged. I mean, am I doing something wrong? Or is there something wrong with the files on the hosting sites?

I get this error when I download a file that hasn't finished uploading, or it tries to copy the file from the cache (aka temporary internet files). Try these in this order:

Try right click and save as, rather than just clicking the link.
Try with a different browser.
Try a different download location.

Well ok that seemed to work. Originally I didn't have to use this method before when I downloaded it. Of course now it's saying Skulltag isn't there when I try to host or play Single Player.

So do I have to extract something else?  :?

Did you extract it into a new folder?

Huh... Make sure everything is there that you found in the zip. Btw where are you downloading it from?

What directory are you extracting it too?

Originally the desktop as I did previously when I first downloaded this. Didn't have problems or anything. Only thing I needed was a copy of free doom to download to play on servers and everything was smooth sailing.

Now coming to this, I extracted them to an independent folder
I created. Of course now I still get either that error in the OP, or Skull tag missing.

I can't see skulltag.exe in that folder.

http://www.skulltag.com/download/ (http://www.skulltag.com/download/)

Tried the same thing and still ended up with the same message. IDK maybe either it's my computer, Chrome browser, or something else.

EDIT: i should mention that it says it was either incomplete or damaged when I download it from that site.

So you have that folder now with Skulltag.exe and all the other files from the skulltag zip? Where is this folder located (it's full path)?

Try moving it into C:/Doom2

Wait c:/Doom 2? What if you don't have it? Would Free Doom work or...

I just use Doom2 for all my doom works, you can call it anything. Basically I want to see if the launcher can pick it up if it's not on the desktop.

I believe this is to do with my launcher just not understanding Windows 7's file paths. Having something on the desktop in windows 7 and vista is a bit different from the previous versions. If anything like this happens with games again, try putting it in C:/ first ;)

But it's still funny because originally it didn't have this problem when I first downloaded it. Must be Bipolar :p
