Title: Super Smash Flash 2 Topic - A True Smash Bros Fan Game
Post by: Kage on September 17, 2014, 03:37:04 PM
I thought I would just like to mention this game as the new official Smash game will soon be released internationally for the 3DS. A new version of Super Smash Flash 2 has been released, and it now includes online multiplayer. If you don't own a 3DS or Wii U, and you been dying to play a Smash game again with your friends, this can be the perfect free substitute for you for the PC.

I tried out this game for a couple days, and I will say that it actually felt like I was playing a real Smash game. All the characters play decently and some of the stages look alright too even though they are all pixelated.

Here are a few videos you can look at, and the current character roster for the game:

Sure, there is like three 4th party characters in there, but its not like you have to play as them if you don't like them.

You can download the game to try out here:

However, in order to play online, you will have to register at this site first:

After registering and activating your account, you will then need to log in to it and add this game under manage games in order for you to be able to play online. After that, you will not have to log in to your account at this site again to play Super Smash Flash 2 online unless you need to add friends.

-----

I sincerely want to play this game with some of you guys on here, and I will always be willing to accept any friend requests for this game.

I guess I could try it again sometime, if only because playing against you in a Smash game would be awesome.
Still, I cannot roll my eyes harder at those last three people on the roster.

They really went overboard with the non-Nintendo characters. Black Mage? Sora? Naruto? GOKU?!?!

Yeah, no.

And no villain characters whatsoever? No Ridley? Not even Bowser nor Ganondorf?

Hey, Sora actually sounds fun (if his mugen counterpart is anything to go by.) But the lack of Bowser disappoints me even more than Ganondorf.

I like how you don't care in the slightest about the clones or overall stupid newcomers in ssb4, but you fucking EXPLODE when a flash game has an anime character.

I've played this before. Better than SSB Crusade, but both are great fan-games. (SSF2 is more polished and the characters feel like their actually in a Smash Bros game, but SSBC has a larger roster, but is not quite as polished)
