I just wanna say that you guys are all hella rad, and I truly do appreciate being together here on this site.
Though I've had some conflicting emotions here and there, I can definitely say that being on Cutstuff has improved me for the better.
I'd also wanna give some special shoutouts to a few folks, so...
Here goes, in no particular order!
Orange Juice
This guy was the first real 'friend' I had made on Cutstuff. Back in 8BDM's heyday, we've had a lot of laughs and a lot of friendly competition. Hell, I was legitimately sad when I heard he 'left 8BDM' for a while, which means a lot given how new I was to the community at that time. We don't talk much at all now, but I hope you're doing a-okay OJ, and that you're not threatening people with chainsaws still.
Blaze and I still talk occasionally, and I'm thankful for that. We've both been through some rough patches, and I only hope that I've helped him as he has for me. The dude's fun to talk to, fun to play games with, and is overall a very chill friend. Keep on keeping on, Blaze.
If there's one feeling that always comes to me when I talk to Rui, it's 'happy'. He's so, so sweet and caring and has a wonderful taste in games and shows. I feel really bad for my attitude of pushing everyone away when I'm sad, because Rui has personally reached out to me, and I haven't always responded. For the times I have listened, he's brightened my mood up tremendously, and just being in his company and talking to him is always worthwhile. Thanks for being awesome, Rui.
Perhaps the greatest example of 'good sportsmanship' I've ever seen out of a man. This dude played hard, and it showed. In the end, he was always good company and a blast to have around, always bright and chipper almost all the time. It wasn't that kind of fake smile some people put up, this dude had a heart. Last time I heard from him, he was both busy with college and other games such as TF2. If you ever read this Rawk, thanks. Thanks for being pretty much my idol in my competitive 8BDM days.
Way back when, I knew Yuri from the days of hopping on Skype calls and testing mods/maps for 8BDM back in its prime. I was always really happy when she was in the call or in the server, cause they were always just so fun to be around! I always wanted to get to know her well as a friend, but me being my shy self prevented me from that, and my times of seeing her were regulated by pure coincidence. Quite some time had passed, and I hadn't seen much of her at all, and I missed their fun-loving, charismatic company. Fast forward to the present day, and I was introduced to this group of folks by Rui, and to my surprise, Yuri was there too! It was a pleasant surprise, especially to find she had gained a heavy interest in fighting games like myself. To this day, I've become much closer friends with Yuri, and I'm quite thankful for that. You go, Yuri! There's no match for Kyogugenryu!
Kapus always left me awed and aspired by her skill in 8BDM. Whenever she was around, it was typical for her to rest on the 'Top 3' of the scoreboard. Me and Kapus hadn't talked much at all, save for an occasional 'Hello' and me immaturely saying 'kapooose' to get a ruse out of her, but that changed quite a bit as time went on. I've matured a lot more since then, and now that I've met with her more on the aforementioned group chat, she has reached out to me when I've been in times of distress and has offered support when I really needed it. Again, I'm not the best at accepting help sometimes, but the fact that Kapus has cared means a lot to me. Thanks, Kapus, spread your wings and soar for greatness.
There are many, many more things I wanna say, but can't think of off the top of my head. I thank you all for being such great folks, and I hope the best for all of you!
