Title: What kind of music do you listen to?

Not sure if a topic like this has been made yet, but I'm going to risk it anyways. I want to know what kind of music you guys listen to. This can be a certain kind of genre, or if you can't think of a genre, you can just post your favorite singer/band/song. You can post video game music as well if you don't like anything else.

I really love rock. I like more heavy stuff, but I like some soft rock as well.

I tend to have a flavor of the month cycle with my music. Usually revolving around whatever I'm focused on or interested in at the time or something that's shown to me that just sticks out, I know for sure I usually don't go looking for things unless things that shown to me are just a branch of a larger tree.

A good example of this is my recent addiction to Iron Savior:

And even then I likely wouldn't have bothered if there wasn't a certain mod for Doom I really like for reasons only partly related. (http://zandronum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=5302)
I asked what all the references were to metal stuff in this, and the dude gave me a list (http://terminusest13.tumblr.com/post/107918595411/i-was-wondering-if-you-covered-what-each-of-the). I just liked how Iron Savior sounded out of the rest of the ones he linked.

Somewhat recently I also listened to stuff by Simon and Garfunkel:

Most of the more modern stuff for me is usually from video games or some show I watched or something...

In short, I guess I either like really weird weeb stuff from the overhyped* anime/video game or really obscure old stuff.
*This does not mean I don't like it.

...Yup. I guess that's my two cents.
I should probably look into more metal stuff than just Iron Savior...

Same for me, honestly.. When it comes to actual music though, I never tend to pay attention to the artists. I do like Jazz, Techno, and a bit of Rock/Metal. Techrock does make me smile on the inside though! :D

I'm pretty much the same. I rarely listen to most songs you'll hear on the radio, so I'm very ignorant of anything non-video game music related.

I've been exposed to so many different tastes that I can jam to anything without really complaining  (some screamo/dubstep grates on my ears if its not done tastefully though).  Most of my personal stuff is just free VG mixes and such from OCRemix and all that.  Also have some anime soundtracks to boot, Kill la Kill, Space Dandy, Gurren Lagann, and some OPs from other good stuff

If I had to pick some "real" music though, classic rock is where its at.  Zeppelin, AC/DC, Aerosmith, the like

Also whenever I go on long trips I put on The Megas or The Protomen and belt out the tunes, lot of fun to try and hit those notes even though I'm not a singer.

I'm more of a pop person but I listen to some other stuff too.

Like Lego, it's usually a flavor of the month kinda thing.

Oh and I listen to video game and anime stuff too :D

Oh yeah I forgot that I collect Anime OST's as well. A lot of the stuff I've watched had some pretty cool tracks. Most notable being stuff like One Piece (I'm still missing songs from there,) all of Key's works, and Sword Art Online--though I didn't enjoy the anime as much as its music.

I'm a VGM man myself, although I appreciate some old hits along with some good old Rock and Roll. I also appreciate house and funk, too, although I haven't listened to a lot of it.

All I've actually been listening to lately is video game music, mostly just Nobuo Uematsu, Shoji Meguro (Nocturne = MMMMMMMMMM), and Yasunori Mitsuda (especially Xenogears, holy crap what a great soundtrack). Xenoblade has a pretty rockin' soundtrack as well. Oh, and the Mega Man series, of course.

i know that to a lot of people it might just seem like pretentious bullshit but i honestly think it's one of the best things in the world

but besides the obvious magma and koenjihyakkei mention i'm just gonna mention some other bands i really like that aren't zeuhl too in no specific order

i listen generally metal or power metal music and sometimes heavy. but sometimes i listen other type of songs.
