As in, CD quality music. (http://www.rockman-corner.com/2015/01/fan-mod-brings-cd-quality-audio-to-mega.html)
The Super Nintendo homebrew scene has been having a blast with byuu's MSU-1 chip. It's an aftermarket cartridge expansion chip (similar to the SuperFX) that allows native playback of CD quality audio. With it, modders were able to recently add streaming CD audio and full motion video to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Natively! Today, the chip is breathing new life into Mega Man X.
This article is actually a couple months old, but I noticed it just today and that nobody mentioned it here.
Thoughts on this? I'm personally gonna give it a shot later.
Perhaps other MM games on the SNES will receive this treatment? One can only hope.

I think this is pretty neat, actually. The only real issue I have with it is some of the remixes [at least those shown in the video] don't carry the same power as the original songs.
I'm interested in seeing where this goes though.
...I wonder what Chrono Trigger would be like with a fully orchestrated soundtrack... :ugeek:

MM7 definitely needs it, it has a better sound font than X1.
