Stone,I have to correct you there, this is NOT a new megaman game, they just rehash pretending that they still give a shit about megaman, and also I can understand no MM&B since that actually counts as a spin-off,but no MM7,8,9 nor 10?Especially now when it is going to PC's and 9 and 10 which are the best ones in the series are just the games I do not have DX

In that case, the "new" should be in quotation marks.
I think if enough people get it, we might get a new Megaman game in the distant horizon.
You can complain about wanting a new game of any series, but that doesn't mean it hasn't had a lot of games already, so shut up about it, okay? Or don't, because the best you may get one day or another would be a *gasp* reboot!Whether the case applies here or not, I'd suggest cutting out the whiny children act and either move on with your lives or spend your "waiting-for-actual-new-game-news" time on something that doesn't make you look immature.
I think a lot of fans feel this way, and I can't really blame em. Capcom recently said they were going to focus on HD re-releases, so it's much safer to use Mega Man for this sort of thing rather than go all out with a new game (which is a darn shame). Hopefully there will be something in the future (heh, something announced at E3 would be nice), but it feels like it's more up to chance than anything.Quote from: "CDRom11_2007"I think if enough people get it, we might get a new Megaman game in the distant horizon.
I've seen this argument...
so
many
times
and every single time this is argued, it's never such case.
I'm now understanding why capcom decided to only put the NES games in the collection. So the newer generation can known who megaman is. Then annouce a new megaman game when everybody known who he is.I hope It's for that! :?
I was very disappointed about them not enhancing the graphics. If you have the anniversary collection, there is no reason to buy this. Seems like a cheap cash-grab.See, it would've been a big plus if they added Wily Wars to the collection. Wily Wars is one of those p rare games that people would gladly buy on Virtual Console or in a re-release, but Capcom hasn't done it yet. I figure the reason was because they wouldn't want to release -any- collections after releasing the games separately on VC and PSN, but that's clearly not the case as they've gone ahead with this Legacy Collection. Now, if Wily Wars was an unlockable on the collection (or some other cool release like a translated Rock Board), that would be hype
Honestly, I prefer The Wily Wars on the genesis to the NES Megamans 1, 2, and 3.
Enhanced graphics, sound, and a few bug changes go a really long way.
EDIT: Well , i will try to be a little more optimistic, maybe there will be some gameplay surprise, i dont know....or an other game...let's see, it's soon!...
*More baseless complaining*I recall Tsuki having this interesting idea a post before your last one. I think it was called BEING PATIENT. You already listened to possible reasons why it was just the six games or whether or not they may have DLC or anything else new, yet you keep going. Shut. The hell. Up. And wait.
People need to be patient, it's very likely Capcom can't find anyone willing to hold a magma-hot-potato such as Mega Man. You know, Mega Man fandom has been quite aggressive since Legends 3 cancelation, so... Yeah, gonna be rough

Still wish they did something new, though, unless they're afraid of doing something that might end up being completely different than it used to be, but it's still depressing to think the franchise will become nothing but rerelease after rerelease after rerelease. I'd be find with a Megaman 11, especially if it were something that isn't 8-bit this time.
Doesn't matter. Fuck them for not milking the franchise even more than they already have.
@Stonefunk- *Bad/overdone idea (not bad game)
I know I'm acting like an arse about this and I'm sorry for that, but why would you ask me why I'm mad, then turn around and say we gotta wait when waiting is what I've been saying the whole time?
1. I know what Capcom's done over the recent years. That all's been long since covered. Why act like fans have never expressed their dissapointment before?
2. You keep saying "they don't care, they don't care." Don't you think that's been covered by now? Why are you keeping on?
3. There's been other stuff people have liked that lasted less time than Megaman. Besides, don't you think Inafune, probably the only person that still cared for the series before and after quitting from Capcom after all the irritation he may have put up with, might've moved on by now? Mighty No. 9 is still coming regardless and that may become as good for all we know (it's supposed to be a spiritual successor for a reason.)
If Capcom finally does something new one day, good. If not, fine. Move on.
Most people seem to think Capcom is simply neglecting the fans, but there might actually be a reason for the recent lack of content. If Capcom stood up and said the reasoning behind it all, then more fans would probably understand. It would've been smart to assume this anyway instead of adding more poor excuses to not be mature after 3+ years (I don't care what I missed.) I'll be looking forward to the day the truth comes out and the lying, paranoid "fans" stop.
If fans wants Capcom to get a new Mega Man developed, they better put out the flames in their own fandom, which is the root of all problem.I'd suggest starting by having Stone change the unhelpful thread title. But seriously, people. Get your shit together.

In the PAL version of Mega Man 3, the player 2 controller cheats (super jump/freeze animations) were removed for whatever reason.Common misconception. These were likely debugging features that they forgot to remove when the released the game (not surprising, it's a rushed game). When they went to get the game over to Europe, they remembered to remove them.
