I didn't think a 60% win rate was good. /shrug I don't play ranked or anything because people leave too often in the beginning rooms, regardless of what class I choose. So yeah, I play the fun characters, a lot of times that means Lee Sin ;)

I've seen a fiddle almost every game with that new model on my team. I was watching them dominate a lot with R and flash in the team fights.

I won't disagree with that, my win rate is around 60%, possibly higher but my wins are heavily reliant on me making sure the dirty work gets done early as most of my characters don't contribute a lot to a team fight. The games end well when I stack enough bodies in my toy box.

The game can be fun but I was never that good at it. Mainly because I am never much of a teamplayer and pick whatever I feel like playing.

Can people still join? It looks friggin' awesome.

I am reading over the classes and I think the jester should be 1D10 instead of 1D20. 1-4-7
A 15% chance is just too low, 30% seems more reasonable. Otherwise, if you're going to make it such a high risk than you should think about adding something additional, like roll the die at the beginning of the match and if it lands on other numbers than he has other bonuses such as "Disables opponents ability" or "Starts the game with 1 Energy Tank" or "Copy target opponents ability". You could also give him disadvantages too. You know, just to make it more vile.. I mean interesting!

I'm not sure how to fix it, I think at that distance it is ok to be blurry for realism sake. Small objects at a far distance are difficult to make out but also at the moment I am completely wasted. I tried playing with it for a few minutes by my attention span is non-existent for right now. I will play with it again when I sober up, hah.

The thing that is supposed to happen is something like this between US and EU users (although it could apply to those of differing countries as well):

1) Fraglimit: 20 or more. Something open-ended would be best.
2) Timelimit: 15 mins. This way the games must end.
3) Games: 2. One on a US server and one on an EU server.
4) Winner: Either by the winner of the games or by frag differential if there's a split in games.

Why the US/EU matches aren't being played in this format, I have no idea. This way, it is completely balanced.

In a situation like Saviorsword and Yellow Devil, the highest score overall between the two rounds should be declared the winner because the last round can't be simultaneously played on an EU and US server. This is actually one of the methods listed on the front pages rules as well. It is one of the two options.

The time limit isn't going to work for the reason BlueBrawl stated. Also, an extreme time limit defeats the purpose of having a time limit at all (to prevent it from taking too long).

I think the only way to deal with the people sitting on health capsules while they have an E-Tank and M-Tank, switching between Charge Kick, Proto Shield, Skull Barrier and Leaf Shield should probably just have a judge to prevent a fight from stretching out too long. If you need that much help to stay alive against the person you're are fighting.. you are completely #%#@ed, hah.

I don't think Magnet Missile should receive a nerf. However, it should probably be slightly harder to get. It's not really its power that's the problem, but how easy it is to get.

For example, remember MM2DW1, with the Power Stone on the other side of Gravity Hold? You could swap Magnet Missile and Power Stone and it would be fairly balanced: A powerful weapon is made harder to reach, and a less powerful weapon is easier to reach. It would at least make it harder to choose which item you shoot for in an open map: Magnet Missile or Gravity Hold.

Edit: As for what has bugged me a lot recently: Knight Crush. It's 75% of the time a OHKO, and the other time it leaves you with barely no hit points left, and if that happens, you're either killed by the rebound, or a second shot made half a second later. I know it's supposed to be a powerful weapon, but at it's current state it decimates mostly everything in mid to short range combat. I would not suggest a damage nerf, since that would reduce its status as a power weapon, but a firing speed reduction could perhaps be in order?

It really depends if the original design was to make weapons based on tier or if they are all designed to be equal in power. If it was designed to be more powerful, who is to say it needs a nerf but the creator?

Also, with weapons like Magnet Missile at its current level of power, it would be difficult to remove health capsules from duels and consider it balanced. How will you fix it? Can you?

I was minding my own business, when I was detained for "excessive violence" while maverick hunter. So a few hundred civilians got in my way, big deal! They all die eventually anyway, right? And what about me? The Front runner was almost overheating from overuse and the extra ammo straps I had with me..I'm not even sure what happened to those, they were gone in a few minutes. Anyhoo, it wasn't a problem for an S-Rank Maverick Hunter like myself! I realized a test like this was bound to happen, that is when I started beating them to death with their own limbs. Saves ammo straps and time! Plus it wasn't like they were using it anymore. I thought I deserved a medal for such a discovery. Honestly, I couldn't see what the big deal was.  Can you believe that?! And they call me crazy!

Anyway, shortly after being detained, Sigma barges into my jail cell and unexpectedly releases me from my chains. He told me that B-Class soldier, Megaman, has hidden powers that even he himself is unaware of and that he needed my help to defeat him. He was going maverick and he wanted me to go with him. At this point, it was clear that he had gone completely insane but, hey, it was all to my benefit, I was free again and it was time find Megaman and see what Sigma's fuss was all about..and maybe plan a few casualties in between, hah.

The ammo strip is out of proportion, if you shrink it, the ammo strip will look really funky.

By "it", do you mean the ammo strip or the entire image? I decreased the image to 50% and thought it looked fine. If you could be more specific than maybe I can adjust it.

I don't think I changed them from the original size that Stylin' was using. If I did, it was on accident.

It is very tedious when both players have Leaf Shield and a powerful attack like Ballade Cracker.

Well. I suppose the problem here is if you're going to try and use Ballade Cracker and Magnet Missile against Leaf Shield.
Nah, I don't think so.

Captain Obvious, saves the day!

What I was trying to direct attention to was that he isn't even talking about the same topic.

Where do you see "us(ing) Ballade Cracker and Magnet Missile against Leaf Shield"? Aside from getting the name of the abilities correct, it is not even remotely connected.

So, yeah, I don't think so either, Lio.  :geek:

Was this post actually directed toward mine?

Leaf Shield's fine if you ask me.

Also, why remove health? Dueling is about surviving.

The issue with Leaf Shield is that when easy access is open to it and other powerful attacks (that cannot bypass the shield) such as Ballade Cracker or Magnet Missile that can kill relatively quickly will cause stalemates. When two players are pitted against one another they leave their shield on until one of them gets tired of waiting. One of them drops his shield and switches to a lower tier weapon(Metal Blade, for instance) to penetrate the shield and the other player, the switches to a higher tier weapon like Ballade Cracker or Magnet Missile and completely demolishes them.

That is usually when the player says "Wow, that was kinda lame." and quits out. After enough people get a taste of that mentality, you get empty servers. No one will play something that is obviously flawed.

The healing in a duel has a lot of drawbacks - besides the one Asd967 covered. It also makes lower damage weapons useless because once one of them takes even the slightest damage, they run off and sit beside a health capsule that will generally heal them faster than the opponent will damage them. So unless you're packing Top Spin, Cutter or something else to make a fatal strike, you really can't use it which really sucks because no one really wants to be limited to a handful of weapons.

Duel mode needs to have health capsules turned off. You don't call duels in other FPS games (like Team Fortresses) by how well someone stands next to his respawn or medic and fully heals themselves a duel. Unfortunately, the best E-Tank camper doesn't exactly translate into the best combatant. lololo(AS MUCH AS SOME PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO BELIEVE IT)

Leaf Shield should deplete while just the shield is up without needing to be fired and it should recharge slower from energy capsules. It is very tedious when both players have Leaf Shield and a powerful attack like Ballade Cracker, if you switch from Leaf Shield to a penetrating attack (like Metal Blade for instance), they will switch to Ballade or something more powerful and revert back to Leaf Shield instantly if you try to switch to Ballade too. If this was an RPG, sure, if this was an FPS, no. To say the least, switching is far too tedious and annoying to really want make me do it.
