Okay really, serious note.
With game development, it's best to start small. Make a small prototype first, and don't bite off more than you can chew. This applies to series, too.
Honestly the FIRST thing i can recommend you do before even making a game is find a Programming language that you can USE. C++, Assmebly, Python, etc. etc. Hell, you could use Game Maker, and the language for that is watered down C++. That and sense you seem to like Unlimited, MMU was made in GM, too.
In td;lr, start small, then work your way up.
