MM8BDM Discussion / Problem with DreadKnight.
« on: November 09, 2012, 09:05:14 PM »
I don't know where he is on CutStuff. However, he makes many games a hassle.

In the Rage Roboenza server, every time he becomes a Zombie, he gets upset and spectates. This is a problem however, since it ruins the game. On top of that, he spurts a very sour attitude to the rest of the players. After getting vote kicked 6 to 0, he returns after being unbanned, and ruins the game by spamming the chasecam command and exploiting the cheat alert message.

His attitude is terrible. I wish he would learn this for himself.

I wish this user could be dealt with. I don't often come to talk about specific players unless they truly go too far.

If Deathwind is here, he could at least disable the chasecam command or ban DreadKnight.

MM8BDM Discussion / Servers Going Down! Mayday Mayday! *Crash*
« on: October 30, 2012, 03:16:15 PM »
Well, I've noticed that all the normally VPN hosted servers (Those people like Alternia, DeathWind, I'm talking to you) Have been going down. Someone has told me some players have learned how to crash the servers. And not just one, but all of them. Me and SKZ have been trying to fill in the gap with our own hosted servers in the mean time.

I know this for a fact, because I myself have had to restart my servers time to time for no reason whatsoever. They would go down without confirmation or error.

This may be a glitch in the version of Skulltag we're using. Until then, you may find the need to restart your servers now and then.

To those that decided to just make trouble and crash the servers, if it just so happens you did, shame on you.

MM8BDM Discussion / About my "7-Up" Server
« on: October 28, 2012, 07:48:02 PM »
It seems apparent that some players don't quite understand why they are losing frags on death in this server.

It's called "7-Up" Because you have to be 7 frags UP. This meaning, you have to have 7 frags more than your deaths in order to win. This also means that if someone is close to winning, you can hinder that chance of winning by teaming up on the player, maybe, but you might give that player the kills they need to win the game, so be careful. Don't be upset if you have a negative score, aright? I had a negative score for a while when testing this out with a few bots.

If you don't like the map because you keep falling.. just vote out of it. Also, if there are maps where you want out of the rotation because it's oh so often players fall and die, let me know.

It works best when you have 4 or more players, which is why I tried to supply a bot in the game to help keep the game going and to help gather a crowd of players so they can play together. If you vote a map without intermission, you can make the bot go away. It's not suggested, though.

Anyway, I hope you have fun, if you decide to play it!

MM8BDM Discussion / Problems About Clans
« on: October 24, 2012, 04:07:27 AM »
I have never seen so much stale taste to the mention of clans.

I've talked to a few players about them. It appears that most players get sour about them, due to the clans that have arrived in the past. A clan is a clan, they will always be different, generally a group of people with (hopefully) their own purpose and cause.

I've seen some players take hatred on the clan I'm in (Skillman) just because it's a "Clan". That's not a valid reason at all. And nobody has the right to take such flammatory action on another for this or any other reason. A user even spammed the chase command just because some members of Skillman were in it. People are people. Some particular people in a clan may "bring it down" just because they either don't fit well in the clan, don't fit in the community, or be absolute nuisances, and other players aren't smart enough to comprehend that it's just one player acting this way, and not the entire clan.

Yes, I have heard there have been clans that were frowned upon or disliked because of how they acted to others. But that's them, and them alone. You should never judge others before knowing what they really are.

On the informatory side, Skillman is a clan dedicated to helping out new players in the game, as well as helping one another improve, and perhaps even supporting other users into improving, too. We like to keep a friendly atmosphere, and dislike rudeness from our clan. (We even have a "No-Llama" policy.)

Anyway, I'd like to discuss this with others in the forums, if possible.

Let's put our personals aside, please.

MM8BDM Discussion / A Very Offensive User
« on: October 16, 2012, 12:48:28 PM »
I've met quiet an offensive user recently.

Yes, they are fairly skilled at the game. It's a shame that they use their skill to express hatred for something. If you're there Deathwind, now is the time to act.

Their name used to be Fenga Papit.

Just thought it would be useful to know that there's a general hater roaming around.

I was playing MM8BDM Vanilla with others on Deathwind's server, then noticed this.

I couldn't help but nitpick it.

Help & Editing / Mismatched version of the same wad?
« on: October 13, 2012, 02:23:36 AM »
I went to try joining fellow players on Deathwind's MM8BDM Vanilla Server. When I go to join, it said I don't have the same wad(s). The issue here is, I do have the wad-file. For some unknown reason, it appears I have maybe a different version of MM8BDM-v2c.pk3?

It would help considerably. Players are in the game as I type.

Even downloading the whole game again didn't solve the problem.

Edit: Self-fixed the problem. Files that have more than just skins and music cannot be in the skins folder.
