MM8BDM Discussion / Game will not save

Hi. I recently downloaded the game and when i first started, i played for a couple hours. I exited the game and came back to find my progress wasn't saved, despite the "Game data saved" message appearing in the chat. All that I did was I downloaded MM8BDM-v5d.zip from Mega, moved the file WinRar file onto my desktop, and opened MM8BDM.exe from there. Am I missing any steps or doing something wrong?
