Recreation-MP_v1.0 has been released, there is only 1 new map and it is the first non-CTF oriented map, hence the name change for the file. But thanks to Llama most of the maps have new music (only Illios is using a core song now)

Um, buddy guy friend pal homeslice breadslice, this game isn't real. Note the bottom of the page, and the url in fact, "Owtheedgehog" and "Owtheedgehog's projects."
Also the entire site isn't anything official, "fanon" is literally "fan canon."
Please try not to get your information from non-official sources

Its been half a year, been busy working on other things and giving time for people to work on maps since a bunch of people showed interest.
The next set of maps I am working on will be non-CTF focused and the first of which is done
RCDM01 - VRTemple, which is recreated from Phantasy Star Online Episode 1&2's battle mode "Battle Rule 2" is the first of these maps, a very simple layout (which is why this is going before BR1) which matches it's CTF counterpart.

VRSpaceship which will be Battle Rule 1, and Lassic's Lair which will be Battle Rule 4 are the next two maps I plan to make for this.

The expansion is on hiatus atm cause whenever people say they will do something they never follow through, so motivation is low on the single person who has been trying to keep the project going when he is the only one making any maps.
Many of the old maps are straight up bad and are being replaced anyway.

Curious, how feasible do you think Mario Kart Battle Mode maps would be for something like this?

I've been playing around on them a bit (mostly the ones from MK8 Deluxe) and thought maybe a few would be interesting to see in MM8BDM.
If I tried making a few and slapped some Mario Maker 2 assets on em, would there be interest in that? Or would it be too strange or out of this project's scope?
Honestly it meets the specifications, I have contemplated looking into some less obvious sources also such as MK and other things that could probably be most suited for duel sized maps. So yea that would be what the project is looking for!

On another note, I've had a pretty busy last couple of weeks which is why I've been holding off on making more maps. Soon enough I'll be back into the swing, and I'm also going to be making the maps so far compatible for Evil Escort so that Bika's game modes mod can make use of them with it before I go tackling more maps, from then on the maps will be having that compatibility going forward so newer releases will already be ready for it.

Ok, couple of fixes that needed to be made so a hotfix version is out. I forgot that Nehpets Towers unlinked all the pits so I needed to put kill actors into them, and the platforms needed them under them too, BHB has been replaced in Lijiang as well, also behind the scenes the song for Longest has a different code.

How about some Team Fortress 2 or Unreal Tournament maps? I'd love to see 2fort and Facing Worlds if possible.

EDIT: Whoops, did not see the TF2 map card. UT maps would still be cool though.
I wanna note, I can't make maps of games I don't own, others are chipping in on maps they want to make also, the best course of action is to grab a map maker program and get drawing some linedefs of the maps you want to see. The TF2 mapcard is because there might be a TF2 map floating around, but I don't know who made it, and there could easily be TF2 maps in the future if people make any.

I've seen others showing interest in making maps, the first public release will be this weekend in case any more maps are being made, if I know that someone is making a map I'll be willing to postpone the release as well.

We've also got some map cards to go along with the project, column 1 is made by myself, column 2 is made by Trillster, with some potential future games included accounted for already.

Howdy folks FGG here with an all new project that I've been working on called "Recreation"
Pick up v1.0 >Here< (Recreation-MP_v1.0) which features RCTF01 - 08 and RECDM01
The goal of this project is to take maps from other games, and recreate them for 8bdm.
Now the thing is, I'm making this a community project, so anyone can submit a map for project (hit me up on discord), the only requirement being, it is a replica of a map from some other game.
