Thanks for the links, and why would I TL;DR it? Doom stuff isn't that insanely hard to learn lol. If someone's really that lazy, they shouldn't even bother. :p

Or like the Snake head in Snakemans stage. It's just a static prop with sprites for all sides. I want to make something like that. I have all the sprites, I just can't figure out how I'd go about doing it.

Yeah, how would I go about making a new object for a map? Custom content I mean. There's a couple things I want to add for a custom map I'm working on and I'm not sure how one would go about it. Any tutorials anyone could forward me to?

Not sure if I should ask this here or make a new thread but how would I go about creating a new "thing"? Like a decoration that just sits in place and is static/animated?

Nice skin, did a good job on it. Would be interesting to see a mario styled map pop up haha.

You could also get Foobar2000 with the game emu player plugin. That's what I use. Nothing beats an NSF file.

Foobar2000

Game Emu Player Plugin

And this nifty site with a lot of NSF's to listen to

Big plus to using NSF's is the small file size. MP3's are unnecessarily big when they don't even need to be. I only recommend converting to MP3 if you're wanting to burn them onto CD's, put on your MP3 player, use in media. If it's just for listening to, go with NSF. :)

ugh, i was almost finished too.. oh well no one better take zero

Don't give up on yours, it'll give everyone a choice on which to use as well. Having more options is always a huge plus.

Oh man, this is good! But he should be smiling in the front.

Now I just need a Zero Xtreme skin.

I don't think that was supposed to be a smile. I'm pretty sure that's just the outline of his chin to separate the head from the body. The X from the SNES version only has a one pixel mouth as well.

OHHH, I see what you mean.
Like this!

That's just amazing, haha. :D

Thanks, glad you like it! Yeah, there's a few frames that could definitely use work. The front and back don't really match the poses the side animations do. I'll piddle around with it more as time allows and fix things up. But you do bring up a good point, you don't really notice it unless you really look for it. Thanks for the comment! :D

Why do you want to be able to play it on consoles anyway?

Yeah, it'd be pretty cool to have it on the DS but not so much a home console. I have MM8BDM on my laptop and desktop so I guess I needn't worry.

I've always favored the original 2a03 sound, guess you could probably tell by the name anyway haha. Both sound good, doing both wouldn't hurt but doing the 2a03 vs the VRC7 would be better seeing as how that's what the games used.

OpenGL is definitely the way to go. Just make sure to keep any texture filtering turned off. It will try to smooth the textures. Good for other purposes but definitely a no-no when doing 8-bit.
