For the reference Accel, the boss was taken from vanilla SRB2 and was not my work. The concept of using a conveyor belt to drastically change the mechanics of the boss on the other hand was mine.

The idea of a Phanto on the back of the cape was totally my idea :3

Also Yuri, you forgot to mention one very super important thing about this wad. Wart has hurt/death frames from all sides, making it superior to all others by default. (that and Wart spits out weapons)

Heya, I've been reading through the topic and I noticed nobody seems to have stepped up to the challenge of making the maps yet. I've always found the DOS stages funny for their quirky level design and being generally weird. (Water level for Torch Man, anyone?) So I would enjoy making a few maps for this expansion.

However, I haven't done any level design for an FPS game before. Although I have done some map making for games built with the Doom Engine. To be more specific, SRB2, a Sonic platformer.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z913jWnUrtw <-- delicious example of my work, you must watch it.

I would need to get the required software for standard Doom editing etc and I would need to get to grips with a different style of level design. But I'm still willing to give it a try. (Perhaps more importantly, because MM8BDM maps are so much smaller than SRB2 maps, it won't take months to finish something  )

Also, if the dialogue for the Robot Masters hasn't been created yet, I would be happy to make a few suggestions.

Also, move mm8bdm straight into your C: drive. Seems it has trouble reading anything from a file path with a space in it.
It worked! I would have thought having my MM8BDM folder on the desktop for ease of access would have been a good idea, apparently not. But, that aside, thank you very much for the help, I appreciate it! :D

Help & Editing / Trouble getting skins working online
« on: November 21, 2010, 12:58:07 AM »
Now, I'm sure this question is asked a fair bit. But I've searched through these forums and the "Put the skins in the appropriate folder" advice does not seem to apply here.

I have several skins and they are placed in the skins folder, in my MM8BDM folder which contains skulltag. So that has been done correctly, my skins also work perfectly fine in single player.

But, for whatever reason, none of my skins can be selected in online gameplay and I cannot see other players skins. Is there anything I am missing to get skins working online? It's a little maddening to see all these generic Mega Men running around while I know the player is using a custom skin.
