MM8BDM Discussion / Re: MM8BDM v5 Public Thread - MM9 Expansion

It's been confirmed a number of times that v6 will be MM10 and v7 will be the last one with MMV.

MMU will never happen.

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: MM8BDM v5 - What maps do you feel need work? Pt. II
« on: December 24, 2015, 08:24:16 PM »
I'm just gonna repeat what a lot of other people have said at this point, but I guess more numbers make it stand out more?

I don't thing Gravity Man is in need of a full rework at all. The main problem is that high gravity is way too overbearing, and that's less so the fact that high gravity is a jerk and more so the map structure just kinda being rude with jump stairs everywhereeeee.
but everyone and their mom has said cut down on it, so that's good.

Layout wise, I'd like to second Bik's thing about connecting the shortcut to the little hidey hole room. Helps flow yo.
That and I think experimenting with a ladder or two to the super high ground Thunder was talking about near the main hallway. In theory you can get up there fine in low gravity but would need to take a ladder when it's high, so while you're not locked out completely, there's still some purpose to the gravity. The only problem I can think of is I'm not sure how much slower taking a ladder would really be in this case, so ti's more something I'd fiddle around with and see if it works or not.

SUP EVERYONE
FREEMAN IN THE HOUSE

I'm sorry you had to read that.
Anyway, this topic is getting bumped again, what's the deal with that?

Decisions have been made to merge Jam 1 with Jam 3: PB&J into one healthy file so we don't need as million files hosted at once. That's neat.
But this also gives people a perfect chance to make any updates to either their Jam 1 or PBJ map if they so wish. This will be left open until 11:59 PM EST on December 15th.
So update your map if you feel the need to make some updates, because I know some people are interested, or don't if you're busy or something. I probably won't judge you.

Aw damn here we go.

DOWNLOAD THE PACK HERE
Or here if you're allergic to Best Ever

The PBJ Pack is up and running! We got ourselves ten maps here which is pretty decent out of 16 entrants.

Don't have a whole lot to say that's not said in the readme, so I will make an announcement instead!

In case you signed up and wasn't able to finish your map for one reason or another, do not fear! This isn't a contest or anything so I couldn't care less about meeting deadlines. This deadline was just to get the pack up and running. You are still totally able to finish and submit your map, and the pack will be updating when need be, adding new maps and updating old ones.
Excitement!

Hope you all enjoy, unless you don't want to because I'm not your dad.
Woo!

Super Townies are really weird and kinda just break the intended balance of mafia.

But besides that this was probably the most bearable mafia to look at in a long time.
Woo.
