Where was Jax's Tier List

Gemini Man was "S" alone, if I recall properly
That list was for KY classes. Too bad that doesn't exist anymore and KY's a bit too depressed to ever work on it again.

Skins are not a big deal to me at all. Though havin' a proper walk cycle would be nice on Heat Man and maybe other skins as well. Well, the only other skin that I can think of that doesn't follow the proper cycle would be Elec Man, however those are official sprites, so those are set in stone. Other unofficial walkin' sprites could use the improvement of a correct cycle.

Eh, shoulda really left this topic alone... or shouldn't I? Ah! I just don't know anymore!

I take great offense to that. I generally don't accept things that don't get a majority thumbs up from the team. Unless of course I have to be a tie breaker.
Besides, for all your bitching about skins, I haven't even seen anyone offer proper criticism on them. No, saying they suck and other vague things does not qualify as a "critique".

It's just be because Ivory has the power, what he says is "law". In Heat Man's case I personally think that it doesn't even have a proper walk cycle.
I suppose I have to spell it out for ya, eh?

Here's a proper walk cycle.

Now look at Heat Man's walk cycle.

We're workin' with 8 bit here, so I understand why there's no up frame.
The highest points should be at stand and pass frames. Whenever ya walk in real life, ya never raise above yar height on a contact frame. Mega Man's cycle is pretty good, so that's why I used him as an example. 8 bit also kinda combines contact with down and pass with up. Heat Man's 1st contact may not look shorter than his stand, but it actually is. It should be a little bit more noticeable. The pass frame is fine. Heat Man's highest point is on the 2nd contact, which shouldn't be like that since the highest part of walkin' is an up frame. Again, this is 8 bit so that frame won't exist and not to mention it doesn't make sense to have it the highest on that frame.
Of course his front frames have no concept of this whatsoever...
That's my last 2 cents on this matter before I get a heavenly hammer dropped onto my head. I can go on further, but I can see thin's turnin' ugly with this current situation.

« on: January 22, 2013, 07:57:54 PM »
It's one thin' to evade a ban and come back quitely and never offend the rules again, but this takes the cake though.

@Smash, this is more or less the best way to counter him, knowin' others well. I mean, we've (community) has been around long enough to know a bit here and there (and even trope folks), and for Unix he's outta luck if he tries to copy another name. (Imagine him tryin' to be me! That'll be a fun time.)

Now, I don't really get why'd he impersonate others while it'll just make his life more hellish.

A little elbow grease for the classes ideas should do the trick for a classes mod like that to take off shouldn't be TOO hard. Well, the only hard part is to sprite'em all and get someone to code'em. Though I don't think it'll be too hard since the simplicity nature of the classes. It's not like every class has Jax's CSCC class Psychic attacks and other stuff along those lines. I see some hope for that classes project to lift off.

Sinkman's gettin' revamped to Korby (class) if I recall correctly. Also, simply said, that weapons that are copied and pasted directly from the core is generally frowned upon. Again with the effort and whatnot, copy paste weapons take no effort, but copy and tweak it a lot that it has a different playstyle to it is fine. Like my class for instance, My (Savior) Thunder Beam and Thunder Blade is generally a copy from Thunder Beam and Slash Claw, however the Savior Thunder has a different angle and deals less damage to compensate for the class design. The Thunder Blade is a weaker but longer ranged Slash Claw, again tailored to my class. So how would 2 weaker weapons be accepted and still be useful? My class is slow but sturdy, even though I'm close-ranged and I deal less damage I can stick around longer and give out more damage when the core class and weapon might of fallen by then.
Although I use weaker versions of other weapons, the changes to the weapons makes them a different playstyle than the core weapons. Now this is the kind of effort that we would generally accept to the project, even though the weapon looks similar to core weapons.
