Then we need to get a Mod-Squad on the case of modding a way for one to use the option. That, or everyone that plays DM would have to instantly stop having fear of death. :T*

*And we know that's not going to happen.

Why do people play RageRobo?

That makes me interested in the Award Damage not kills feature to be modded for DM. We can't use it right now, because it's Co-Op only. We would need to fix it up, and then have those who deserve to win playing.

Due to the amount of Faild trolling, I requested Ivory to handle the situation, since the mod on at the time believed he was not obligated to handle it.
Due to this, an error needed the Thread to be brought back up.
The thread will now be brought back to the question asked by Myroc. ~Ran

@Everyone: Why do you all have to troll my cousin when you doesn't know he doesn't care? ~Harly.

Oh hey, mind if I steal this thread for a wee bit to ask a thing?

Why does everyone avoid DM like the plague? Furthermore, why on earth do they do so in favor for things such as freaking rage robo?

There's two answers to this question. There's the logical answer, and then the real answer.

Real answer:

I have days and days of logs that prove both theories; Even some while CaucasianSwag walked among us. Shoot, I baited Yellow Devil Today while he was posing as CaptianAmerica and purposely lost a Drillman Match, and watched him do this. Many people joined in to talk about how I rage when I lose, while I laughed at it, and recorded it to help my thesis in my Psychology class. And all this while eating leftover cake. :T

This time, let's not make TrollingDrama8BitTheater in here. Mod or Not.

I agree, Korby. People use it like a landmine because they use it in maps like Shadowman, Bubbleman, and Yamatoman when near ladders, stairs and large inclines across floors.

Plus, Wild Coil is nothing but another OP weapon. That's why it got a better rating, since people have been using it more and more, because of maps where there is three or more Op weapons:
Slashman, Turboman are two examples of it's overuse.

*Ahem. * I know someone who can record, and it's not me.
It'll take some convincing on my part, but I'll contact him. He may say no, because he's outside the community and would be coming in on my part. So don't rip him to shreds about his identity.

Turbo, I think I can fix your recording file.

@SSW: For Duel, you're going to want a map about the size of Skullman in comparison but only about three smudges bigger.
The weapons shouldn't be the run-of-the-mill OPCannons, but things that people will have to learn to use in the places.
The environment should be able to make the players think about the approach, not just rush to grab the nearest weapon and come with chagrin.
And there shouldn't be any big gimmicks to the map. Just simple fragging should suffice.

LMS Setting make it possible to silence spectators from speaking during live play. I believe the LMS Setting for this is 1.

Hopefully, if they work correctly. Once I'm sure all of them will loop if left to play endlessly, the Download link will go up.

While making my maps for the HiFn MainStream, I have been looking on internet resources for tracks I know and love in 8-Bit Format. The majority of these are Remixes from the original versions, and it will only give the link for the Remixs and the author's main site. If you wish to find the originals, I suggest Google. 'Tis Powerful.

This will be an on-going project of mine, one I'll be tackling alone in finding music that can be used in MM8BDM. While the music that has been created is not mine, I do take credit in finding them, and the credit for looping them goes to ThatGuy74.

*Not All Track may be 8-bit, but I do try to aim for it. There's a few secret tracks in every download. Try and figure out what they are..Or not.
*That's also if I don't get lazy. Secrets be hard to keep, yo. :T

Whew, what a hard month June is turning out to be. This is technically a InfoBump. >[Bump with Updates.]

I've been making good progress in redesigning HiFn01, and now must just figure out the weapons, then I will be able to work on the three-part map themes of the Elementals! [Fanfare]

Once I figure out the map and how it'll go up in design, The Elemental Tower will use SlashMan Tiles for inside and maybe outside if I find the time to design the places for it.

Once I do figure how it'll go up, I'll run a test and a poll for the map, on if there should be an outside battleground, or if it should take place on 32^3 platforms inside.

Also, I'm still looking for a Design team if anyone is willing. I've gotten a few offers and one definite for a Duel Map production, and once submitted, I will add it to the level queue.

Also, if people so wish to create a Duel Centered map, I ask that you add in the Energy Balancer so that players will be able to use it. The thread to download it is here. <<<<<<

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: Hosting With Flair: Hosting Knowhow
« on: July 16, 2011, 06:43:46 AM »
Bump.

Since while in a Skype Chat SSW has given me a working form of my faild .wad, I open this to the public to propose anything their hosting mind inquire.

*EDIT* 6/16/11

People have been having problems with Skulltag hosting, most of it being the result of  port-forwarding. I once before had this problem, until I read on the Skulltag Dev Forums about their solution to this.

-UPNP

This will enable the Automatic Skulltag Port-forwarding. I will show you where this goes and how to check for it being enabled.

*Warning * - This May Or May Not Be More Suited for A Tutorial ~ Contact Me Later By PM If You Wish To Have More Details.

In the DoomSeeker Launcher after clicking Create Server, several tabs appear. under Custom Parameter (A.K.A Tab Command Line) enter in the Skulltag Portwarding code.

Compare yours to mine. Is it the same? Yes? Let's continue.
(click to show/hide)

Now, to be sure this is activated, Skulltag will announce in your server line after it has been started that your server is being forwarded.
If you have map pre-loaded onto the settings, it'll be right before them. If not, it'll be the last thing before user generated things appear from in game server play.

(click to show/hide)

If anyone needs to know how to host, this is excellent information to have when you host on DoomSeeker. Sadly, I have been informed it faild more often than not on others who did this before. I don't know why.
