Rejected / [BUG] Pharaoh Man Torch Alignments

When using the Pharaoh Man torches in a map, they sink into the ground if their Zheight is not adjusted despite the fact that the builder displays them fine. I did a bit of digging into the core PK3 and saw the problem: the frames haven't been given proper monster/relative alignments!

I'm not sure how many other decoration things have this problem, but since V3B is on a map fixing phase, I thought I'd bring it up.

The Yashichi also has this problem.  :ugeek:

Exactly what it says on the tin. Make the forum rules be displayed for members that are signing up/in. For people signing in, it would display until they have a certain number of posts. Let's face it, how many new members bother to come here and read the site rules? If the rules were instead displayed as suggested, then because of being repeated, it'll be fresh in their minds.

The point is to have them avoid stuff like extremely bad grammar and unnecessary chain posting. Shove Myroc's guide in there and you're golden.

Cutstuff Discussion and Feedback / [Bug?] Logged-In Time

So usually, after someone has been logged on to the site after a few hours, they get logged out. However, it's now happening at intervals of about 5-10 minutes for me. Anyone experiencing this? It's annoying to make a forum post to then have it denied because you got quickly logged out.

Such as right now. Damnit, it's terrible.

You know those Goblin actors that can be seen when going up the side stairs in the square sections? How about getting the impassable lines out of the way so that people can platform their way to the side? It's annoying enough having to watch out for pits, then there's homing weapons in the map, too. I don't know about everyone else, but I'd like another way out of the square sections from which I can see what awaits me instead being of paranoid of an Air Shooter to the face when going up the stairs to the middle.

Actually, the map is pretty good. One of my favorites, in fact. Although ever since v2a was released, I've been thinking that the large, open area with Rolling Cutter and Freeze Cracker (Is it? Forgot the other one...) could use some cover. Maybe a pillar in the middle between them, or one for each. That would also give Rolling Cutter places to bounce off from.

Just remembered this one. Because of all the jumping here, fighting is kinda difficult. Since this is pretty much all of the stage, expanding the size of the large steps might not be such a bad idea. Otherwise, just place run-by steps in their middles and/or sides for easier travel. Scorch Wheel is an excellent offensive weapon here, but the jumping hampers the speed boost.

I think I had others, but that should be it for now.

Mega Man Discussion / New Takes on Existing Weapons

I looked up the term "weapons" on this part of the forum, but it yielded 53 pages of results so asdfghjkl. So, what's this about? Basically, to take existing weapons and give them new functions. For example, change Thunder Beam to fire a continuous stream of electricity instead of three projectiles.

Here's my take on Megaman 3 weapons:

- Hard Knuckle: It doesn't detach. Instead, you fire to lunge forward with a fist. Anything that gets hit takes damage and is knocked away. The "dash" this does can barely be called one because of how slow it is (nearly running speed), and it's better suited for getting close opposition off of you. It has good reach for a close range weapon.

- Spark Shock: Fire to leave a spark ball in place which shoots smaller sparks for a moment before disappearing. Getting hit by the big spark will stun as always, and the smaller sparks do small damage and have hitstun.

- Shadow Blade: It won't boomerang back to you. Instead, it turns invisible as it travels. If it hits an enemy while completely invisible, it will do more damage.

- Search Snake: Slower rate of fire, slower projectile and more ammo consumption. Can still climb walls. If the Search Snake senses a player nearby, it will lunge towards him/her at great speed and deal good damage. Great for finishing off opponents that crawl in holes. Note that it won't lunge at a player inmediately after touching the ground. It needs to travel for a bit before this can happen.

- Top Spin: Firing once makes the player spin 360 in place (in the ground). It still does that "ripping" damage. Charge up and fire to spin for a longer amount of time. You can move while spinning this way, like the Tornado ability in Kirby's Dream Course.

- Magnet Missile: Hold down fire to get a magnet out which attracts opponents. This consumes energy. Release fire to let the Magnet Missile fly at very high speeds, but less homing capability and less damage than normal Magnet Missile. It's better used to annoy/confuse opponents, and get nearly sure shots. It gets more ammo, too.

- Needle Cannon: Fire at the ground or walls to create non-damaging platforms from the needles. Otherwise, this is the same. (Yeah, I didn't think much of this one.)

- Gemini Laser: When it touches a wall, it splits into two smaller lasers that bounce two times. Same ammo, probably slower rate of fire.

- Rush Marine: Go die.

So, go ahead and humor yourselves.  :p

I just had this idea about making a topic where anyone can post textures they make. This is for people who don't want to make their own topic just to post one or two textures thinking they might not do anything else again (myself included), or just for shits and giggles.

Just to make it clear though, no textures from other games. They have to be stuff you drew yourself.

I feel the right side pipe looks weird, but eh. Texture making was never my forte anyway.  :ugeek:

Yeah, this is probably something minor, but I have seen it a few times already and it's annoying.

Sometimes, an old post changes it's date. Here is an example. Notice Daveris's post above. I am extremely sure that I posted at roughly the same day or a little later, but definitely NOT yesterday.

Any idea why this happens?

Hello, everyone. This here is basically a map pack containing 7 brand-new Capture the Flag maps for your enjoyment. A lot has changed since the last version (v1b). So much in fact, that this is a new start for the pack! The three maps that were included last time were these, with their respective changes:

KCTF01 - Wellspring Fort: Remade entirely from scratch.
KCTF02 - Torn Woods: Remade entirely from scratch.
KCTF03 - Lux Quadrant: Fixed layout to be MUCH smaller and playable. Most weapons were changed, too.

As the title suggests, the New Topic button is missing in the Projects forum. But not only that, when I tried to make a link which in theory should've allowed me to make a new topic, a message came up: "You cannot make a new post". Since there was no sticky or notice anywhere in the 8bitDM sections or here, the only thing I can conclude is that it's a bug.

Does anyone have an idea of what's going on?

...that you think veeeery few other people did, or not at all!  Dat topic title limit... >:V I bothered to check all 12 topic pages and there was nothing like this, either so...

 I wanted to know about games you guys have played (even better if you liked them!) which you think were barely heard of at any point in your life. Because even though the fact remains that there are thousands of games out there, it can be forgotten over time after playing the same series for too long even if said series spawn new games! This brings up the question: "Is there something else out there that is not Mario/Halo/etc. that can amuse me?"

So, I don't think these saw too much light and totally deserve remakes and/or sequels I can dream... D: :

- Vortex (Snes)
- Stunt Race FX (SNES)
- Nanostray 1 and 2 (DS)

Just to name a few right now. I was gonna say Sunset Riders, but it appears to be decently known, from what I've seen.

Before anything, I wasn't sure where to make this topic. Mods, feel free to move it if needed.

As we all know, all Funcrusher 8-bitDM servers are open to public. And yet, two people usurped the Duel server and votekicked me from it. Here's what happened:

They were both kicked afterwards by Celebi and other users from the roboenza server, however, I felt I needed to report these two persons to the community in general in case they do the same thing again, so you'll know the kind of people they are and that the link they asked me to go to (which I went to out of curiosity afterwards) is broken or simply nonexistent. It was probably an excuse to keep the server to themselves.

My work here is done.
