What? No one dropped the FI Rule to my knowledge. (Someone was banned recently because of it.)
You might be over-thinking it. Can you remember anyone's first post? Really, when you think about it, everyone is the same way. Posts are just a form of regular communication, and the first is no different from the rest. (Or the last, even.) I wouldn't really consider it a bad thing, either. I also joined the forum just so to share some thought on ideas, but I branched out into basic discussions. I wouldn't consider that bad by any means: you're just becoming more integrated into the community. Assimilated, if you will. Automatic mimicry is human; all people imitate the behavior and mannerisms of people around them to some degree. It's only a social function. That's nothing to be ashamed of. I don't speak lightly, either. There have been people on this forum who have been
incredibly attention-seeking at one point or another. For some people, having created any sort of wad, or even a non-existent "expansion" gives them room to brag and self-promote their own work at any chance they get. Some people engage in mundane activities such as server-hosting, bending for absolutely anyone and then act as if they're some kind of marvelous benefactor.
Are you an attention-seeker? Not in a long shot. It's kind of humorous coming from you, because I'll admit: I HAVE seen you as the "silent, emotionless, stoic player" for some time, who only spoke words to a certain person who's no longer here. Of course, you're still only a person. Or two people, actually. Some might, but I don't. After some of the recent stunts from this community it comes off as pretty tame. If anything, you really did it for the opposite: To distance others from yourself. And it worked, probably.
Don't let the community decide what to do for you, though. THAT would make you an attention-seeker. And as of now, you're still far from it. If you're content with yourself, do what you want and be a part of the community you like, not the ones who tell you what to do.
