General Gaming Discussion / Re: Pokemon Black and White!
« on: July 18, 2011, 07:17:37 AM »
Is Dragonite in this game!?! All I need would be him and Garchomp and I could complete the "pseudo-legendaries". I actually didn't plan on capturing any non-Unova 'mons, because I wouldn't be able to complete the National Dex (I don't have a Gen IV game and no way do I feel like GTS'ing 500 mons). But then... I found a lot of pokemon that I liked or caught for nostalgia reasons (Sandslash, my original favorite pokemon was my first post-Unova dex so I got him right away. Gyro Ball... hilarious. Swords Dance, please). I even put Gyarados in my team because I didn't like any of the other water pokes I found (not even Jellicent- I wanted a bulky water). In Gen 1 I used him as a mixer with Tbolt/Hydro Pump/Reflect/Body Slam, and I was sad to see he no longer gets reflect. But now he gets Dragon Dance!! That just made my day. Stat-boosters are awesome, as you'll see in a bit. But about Gen I - my two "tanks" were Snorlax and Rhydon (EASILY the best ground type in r/b). I wouldn't drop Rhydon for any other ground.

But right now, seeing how Tyranitar was one of my favorites in Gen II, I'm considering making a sandstorm team. My idea is:
-Tyranitar
-Gliscor
-Carracosta
-Metagross
-Excadrill
-Garchomp? Not sure about the last one (maybe Skarmory, Aerodactyl or Terrakion)

My idea being sand support gives HUGE benefits to mainly Costa/Drill but also the others as well, and the negative Leftovers aspect sounds threatening. There could be more mons I'm not thinking of, so haven't started yet. I try and minimize weaknesses as much as possible when thinking teams.

In the meantime, I call hax on post-game events. It's time FOR THE ADVENTURES OF ROC!

I ask to record a simple enetertaining match, and it turns into an "idealized player" bullshit thread. Folks, if it makes you feel any better, you're not all as important as you think. In a game played by 200 people, none of them will come onto these forums to say "baawwww player x is too good". Let the haters hate and let the fans be fanatical. If you love the game you play, you just go ahead and play. At this point, I'm just worried about getting a good match to record. Only 80 people will see these matches, and only 2 of them will care about who's playing: the players themselves. Do you see anyone calling Muzaru a god after he beat me on skullman? No. Do you think anyone will care about Roc vs Kitten two weeks after the match? No.

If none of us are important, and no one will come to the forums to say "baww x is too good" - why would anyone be interested in recording or watching the match? Obviously because KK/Roc are important to the people watching or recording the match. You didn't have to call Muzaru a god. People who watched your Skull Man duel viewed it as a clash of titans; no need to be cynical about it.

Quote from: "SoniaNature"
It's just other people make it out that I am or something and it makes me angry. If people won't care about the video 2 weeks after its posted, then why post it at all?
Do people care about any video two weeks after it's posted? I don't think that's a valid argument. I can say: "If you don't like being important, why attempt to win a tourney? People will think you're important." and advise you instead to become a hermit by the same logic. The cynicism kind of bothers me.

So instead I'll propose a deal. BB/Rawk records the match. Afterwards, you can decide if you want the video(and commentary) released or unreleased, public or private, for limited or unlimited time. My computer is going to be looked at tomorrow, so assuming it works out I'll be able to re-setup and polish up on Tuesday, hopefully being ready to play Wednesday. I'll keep y'all updated on this, of course.

I've never been tired of being idealized/idolized, however much it happens to me. I go to a duel server hoping to draw out an "idealized" opponent for a good match. Along the wait, a duel queue will pop up and I'll have to deal with "non-idealized" people, who clamor at my defeat when it happens, but spend much more time whining that I shouldn't win. Does it bother me when I lose to a non-challenging person, then? Sure, a little, but if I'm facing someone who thinks I should stop doing something that makes me win(e.g. handicapping myself) dueling them was a bore to begin with. If you leave (win or lose) and you're accused of being "scared", a simple reminder that you've destroyed the current duel queue multiple times over will suffice.

Instead, I seek out the idealized opponents and duel them. Rather then rely on my opponent to win (by asking him to limit himself, e.g. bawwing about Magnets, Rushjet, etc.) I instead rely on myself to win using everything possible. Knowing that I need EVERYTHING to win - making it high-stakes, is what makes it exciting, win or lose. Of course I'll lose some, but I'm not deterred, and I won't blame my loss on cheap tricks - I'll simply try again, hoping to pull a surprise with increased reflexes/pattern memorizations (since that's all duel is, really). I have always preferred being "the underdog". I have generally played better in adversity, so if sore winners & losers are a bother to you, it'll be sad to see you go. If I don't have my comp back up this weekend I'd enjoy a fun "what-if" match regardless.

Either of the extremes and anything in between will work, but it won't matter in the long run.
Just don't up and quit because the internet is being the internet. :c
Agree'd.

With the - way, of course.

In "Bass Kolosseum" you removed Screw Crush (most fun I've ever had) for PHARAOH SHOT. Really? ANOTHER duelist weapon? It can't even 2HKO anymore due to the nerf, yet you favor it over SCREW CRUSH? Fuck you, Messatsu.

This is not constructive; it's a bit reprehensible. Pharoah Shot's 40% makes it great in killstealDM, as often you won't need two shots to get a frag. Screw Crush requires more luck/spamming off the upper elevations and isn't as useful in DM. Regardless, insulting a person to EVER get something you want will rarely be effective, and more likely detrimental to your cause. Regardless, you've concerned yourself a bit much with a filler map.

Special thanks to Korby for not changing "Olive Steakhouse" by a single pixel. Because of this Olive Steakhouse is still one of the best maps in the pack. Thanks for not ruining the balance, friend!
When you praise joke maps, you become hard to take seriously. The map was submitted "as a terrible joke map" and "[had] weapons that were useless in v1c". The two quotes I've selected also paint you as an "anti-change person". If a map maker sees you as unpleasable he's not going to change the map(proof: Ice Man X).

You also worry about the who the creator of a map is to an uncertain degree. The map creators you remember (bar Messatsu), you like their maps. Do you like Olive Stakehouse, or do you like Korby? Do you hate CSCM01-04, or do you hate Messatsu? If you answer "both" I don't feel you're distinguishing them enough. I doubt you'd slap SSW, example, but knowing who the map maker is shouldn't change your impression of a map in the slightest (your expectation, maybe). You want problems to be patched up, identify how map flaws are a problem to *others* (as individual opinion in this topic is irrelevant).

Hahaha. Brilliant. A few things I noticed, only glancing:

-OJ's bot needs to be magnet man
--Ran's bot needs "Rage mode activated. +50 to all stats" under rage strings (so close, -Ran!)
-bikdark's bot needs "You shouldn't have done that..." under SOMETHING. (rareroaming, maybe)

And others I'll probably think of later. I might do a bot (I became interested after I saw the korbot in the bugs topic). I'd have to think of some good quips, though, hmm... And that would take me forever lol. Obviously some of my binds would fit.

Woah, I just had an idea... What if... We actually made classes unique to everyone? Their favorite weapon would be the main fire, and their second favorite the alt-fire!

It sounds more interesting than the MM8BDM-based Mega Man game. Like this?

Rtist: Atomic Fire / Super Arm
Muzaru: Junk Shield / Skull Barrier
Sword: Gravity Hold / Wind Storm
Orange Juice: Top Spin / Time Stopper
Kenkoru: Item-1 / Exit Unit

Got this game for my b-day. After ragequitting Gen 3 but then revisiting Gen 1, I had some interest. I'm impressed! The only thing that disappoints me was the lack of good water types. Dewott stayed in a box until I got Surf, and even then he was only marginally useful against the e4. I was also raising Boldore and Gurdurr but after I learned they only evolve through trades, they also got boxed. (again, Game Freak?) Was close to raising Tirtouga because I like fossil-mons, but I was shaky about his spdef. Ah well. I finished the league with these guys:

52 Reshiram ("Ragnaros")
50 Haxorus ("Glassjaw") X-Scissor / Brick Break / Dragon Dance / Dragon Claw (swept Caitlin loooool)
51 Stoutland ("Ruffrider") Roar / Return / Crunch / Reversal
49 Ferrothorn Curse / Iron Head / Power Whip / Ingrain (kills waters)
48 Musharna ("TEARGAS") Calm Mind / Moonlight / Psychic / Yawn (sleeper, yawn)
42 Cobalion Reflect / Aerial Ace / Iron Head / Sacred Sword (the go-to "Reflect then die" guy)

Since I don't like the legendaries I dropped them for Bisharp and Golurk, who were easy to raise in the new areas. Team has shifted a bit and I'd like to squeeze Gyarados in there, even though I planned to only use Gen V pokes. (I can't find ANY water types I like this gen... ugh.)

Let me say this right now.
GTS NEGOTIATIONS SUCKS.
Everyone offers a Zorua and quits.
Also,regular GTS have insane people.
I just want an Archen, and I am not giving up my Reshiram for it.

Easy, don't use GTS. Use Fake GTS! Like GTS, except that Pokemon aren't removed from the game or the server when they're uploaded/downloaded, respectively. (there's like 20 Zekroms up that you can just "withdraw" to your box). No need to give up anything! You can also upload your own pokes to check IV/EVs etc. (hence the name) I plan to use it once I hit a dead-end on filling the new dex. No more relying on trade for evolutions, exclusives etc.- it's just like Gen 1!  :)

Projects & Creative / Re: AMP map pack. Bluebrawl, take my baby!!
« on: July 12, 2011, 05:44:24 PM »
I'll work on my computer again tonight (as of now no Skulltag or anything) to try and get it up again. When we last talked about the maps, you said that AMP01-04 were completely done so I assumed you weren't going to change them, and 05-08 you had the changes you wanted to do in mind. My bad! @_@ When I get ST running again I'll look at the maps again. For now, here's some things I can remember well:

AMP01 - Layout is fine even if a bit small. You could remove some of the weapon energy on the ground floor (or expand that area and redistribute them). Even in duel, I thought enough small W.E. in one place to refill a weapon looked silly.

AMP02 - E-tank, M-tank, and Saku are all in odd spots. M-tank is high up but still easier to get than E-tank; iirc Sakugarne would fit in the M-tank spot real nicely. As for the E-tank area - next to the tank are a bunch of odd-elevation changes that go no where (no items or anything), so I'd suggest a filler item like Tango, Treble, etc. which seem mostly absent. Saku's spawn is such an odd place I'd just scrap that spawn point entirely. (on a floor in a random spot along a wall)

AMP03 - Could use less Hyper Bomb spawns; you covered most of the additions already. Definitely an interesting map.

AMP04 - Not a huge fan of some of the weapons here (replacing Freeze Cracker with Blizzard Attack makes much more sense, for example). Like AMP01 you could also expand it, although I'd say expand the inside rather than the outside(which is what I would do for 01, if necessary). On the inside there's not a whole lot of interesting fighting elements. Given a little height variation/expansion you could possibly reduce weapon spawn duplications and make it a little more interesting to walk-through. I'll steal -Ran's quote that was "a good duel map should be Skull Man(/MAP01) size". It's more of a potential issue in 01, but I feel both these maps would provide so little cover that it'd be easy to spawn-kill.

But like you said, they are done and it shows. Layout I had no gripes with (except one spot in 02). 05-08 I would really need skulltag to be able to talk about, so I'll work on that (and you axed 7, anyway). The new maps I haven't seen at all for the same reason, although I'd be glad to when I have it running again. (man, no ST is really killing my writeup skills) But rest easy - 01-04 aren't in any desperate needs of changes, but I'll offer my suggestions where I feel useful. Summary:
01: Add
02: Change
03: Leave as-is (I'll look at this again to be sure)
04: Add

All left to your discretion, of course. After all, I'm not "someone who's experienced"; the other reason why I strayed from this project a bit.

Just asking,But is there a Release date Set for the MM&B Expansion As of yet? Been waiting for this thing for MONTHS.(Ever since the Leaked Burner man skin)
Really? This project has been mostly in cryptobiosis for the majority of its existence, with only tiny little supplements keeping it alive. The meat of the expansion (weapons/maps) hasn't shown any significant progress until recently, but I didn't expect any of them until after v2 to happen. For an independent project like this, a deadline has no real benefit - I don't consider placebo motivation/hype useful to development (you could achieve the same things by horse racing under a guillotine, same effect). After reading / probing into this topic a bit, I feel Korby is capable of making / finishing the R&F Weapons in high quality, so I see no need to rush him.

Given the variable time of mapping, I'd say the project will be finished before July 2012. (this is just speculation, I don't have authority to issue hard deadlines) It's not something you can really countdown to, because of variable progression speeds.

Maps / Re: Vortale's stuff

Last Hope: I was originally going to put a new weapon into this, but decided to get rid of it since it didn't work lol
This map is cramped, but has plenty of hiding spaces. The music will need to be changed of course (I'm imagining some kind of "End of the world" type music) as I'm currently using MM6 Wily Machine.

End of the world music!? I have just the thing!
(click to show/hide)
There's plenty of other great tracks from the game I would suggest but they're in GBC 8-bit and not NES 8-bit, unfortunately. That track was the first that came to mind. I can whip up Golden Sun Fusion Dragon, Doom Dragon, CT Undersea Palace, x1 Sigma stage 2, Final Destination all in 8-bit, for example. If I saw the map I would have a narrower selection of course.

Anyway, yes! Snake Man is back! You being in design makes wicked sense (shame it's not awesome lol) The changelog looks good. I did host Cave once and the testers (Ken/Muzaru) appeared to like it, so I'd be against scrapping the map entirely. What you said about the confusion, though - is definitely true, and because of difficulty finding where you're going, it would probably slow down DM games a lot. LMS I think would be fine, though, given you only spawn once. The "hyper bomb spawn" if I remember (it's a corner in the bridge area) is a good example of what you're talking about - you could get down there and be safe as long as you were out of a view, but a zombie who looks down would find you instantly. Of course if the human had item-1+Star Crash the zombie would be screwed, as even with altfire he'd have trouble getting out of there if you escaped. I think the Pharoah Doors are an awesome gimmick, the timer would help although I'm curious how long the timer would be - some people might not like the interval being so long - although this and the rest of the map I'm highly unsure about it in general (I don't even have music suggestions even). It's such an oddball, quirk map that I'd have to play it in roboenza to really solidify my impression of it.

Glad you're not setting a deadline - it's unnecessary, and I know it's coming anyway. Good luck! =P

So, Devil, have you discussed the "Needleman Problem" yet? This an issue I see everytime classes is played, but I haven't seen it here so I'll share.

Needle Man, while already being ridiculously powerful and in a tier of his own, makes a group of classes similar to him (or "falcos") fairly useless. Yamato, Dust Man, and Wily (listed in order of uselessness compared to Needle Man; Wily's not as bad as the first) attack the same way as Needle Man, except Needle kills faster, recharges faster, and lives longer to my knowledge. There are differences between the class but none of them really seem to save them from Needle Man. Muzaru can discuss it better than I can, but that's the real issue. I'd also like to talk about Hard Man, but implying that he's weak would surely result in stoning. >.>

Instead, I present a Stone Man taunt.

"STFUPPLWHOWANTSKINS" got to five first. If you want to use an archaic method, at least adhere to it. If you can't count to five and use timetables, raptor jesus help your programming (or anything). However, the vote itself is arbitrary. Your actions reveal "I don't want skins, but I can't defend that statement without holding a vote so people agree with me!" People won't always agree with you; people don't have to agree with you even if you're right. Asd and Tsuki won't tell you what's right anymore, but since NOSKINS won the poll anyway, you should be fine. I'd prefer you have a backbone stronger than gelatin though, so you can implement +NOSKIN and not cave to whiners.

Remember, if you agree with people simply because of numbers, you'll end up like V5A Hard Man: mediocre (and I could extend the analogy but don't feel like it.) Even though Myroc has served this time as your "revelation" of knowledge, don't always count on that happening.

Feels kinda reminiscent to my popularity contest, that got derailed in a different way. As opposed to "Whose the Best?" topics. I don't think this tread would, but I really like people to know that if they are not listed, that doesn't mean that they are hated.
That kind of miscommunication/conception is highly annoyin' to deal with, since there is ALWAYS someone hurt by it no matter how much one drives the topic away from hurtin' other folks.

Indeed, Savior. I also don't like the "I'm friends with everybody!" because to me that either devalues your friends or is trying to escape the terror of forgetting someone. I was actually absent from the first few pages and I was OK with that - I joined this community from playing the game and not on the forum, so it took a while to gain some recognition. But the ones who have recognized me the longest - You(Savior), Muzaru, Kenkoru, and Stonefunk - you guys are always the bomb, you've had my back since I was Tesseractal and you know it, so here's my shout-out to you four. Take it.

There are lots of others I like as well, but I won't make a list or anything like that. Even if forgetting someone doesn't mean hating them, I've had to deal with exclusion before and there's a reason it evokes that "I'M HATED!!112" reaction (and also the reason I know better)- but the ones I like know I like 'em, so no reason to repeat it. As for the ones don't know - if you're not part of some injustice, you're good in my book. And if you are... Well, look out. I'll show no mercy. </Bruno voice>

Don't get so down, man! There aren't enough spots in the tourney for everyone to win, unfortunately. Just like Survivor. And if 8BDM is your first FPS or Doom game, you can be way behind some players starting off. If you (and anyone) want some help with duel, just think of it as control: You can't measure it, but having control over your opponent is crucial to staying ahead. In non-tourney matches, for example, camp Junk Shield after getting a kill so your opponent can't get that advantage. In tourney matches, just do anything you can to keep your opponent on his toes- switch weapons, attack from a better height or distance or from behind, use "quiet" weapons to ambush him, ricochet in places he might escape too - you can't let him be safe for a second unless you're OK with him refilling health. On the contrary, if you just blindly chase him around - he can leave some nasty surprises, when you lose "control" of the duel. Keep that in mind but part of it just reflexes as well!

edit: My main computer should be back up by Tuesday, Rtist.

edit-II: would you consider allowing Balrog's "Switcherizer" (custom wad that allows for removal of Junk Shield) in the tourney assuming all competitors agreed?

6. MM6TOMX is huge. I though we all told Kunx not to make such a massive map.

All, as in, yourself. Because the only other person I heard was Ice, who made a useful review. Oh, and it used to be a LOT bigger to the point that it was unplayable from FPS lag. I could understand that, so I cut it down until it was. Complaints about it being "huge" is not a real problem unless a LOT of people come saying that, so we'll see.

I could understand tryin' to make a map that is not small like MM6TOM, but for a good big map, look at MM4PHA, MM5STA, MM6MRX.

I found it was better to look at the original MM6TOM and make some nods to it in the remix while bringing new things. I don't look at any other maps unless I'm re-mixing one to keep things interesting, not redundant.

And anyway, I'm not making any changes now until I get more replies.

Ah, this post is informative. I'll respond to both players here.

Savior, you misinterpret the point of CSCM. It is a map pack used primarily for roboenza on Mess's server (whether it was intended that way or not, it has become that way in both general map design in the pack: large maps with questionable weaponsets AND maps that are primarily only seen in Roboenza due to hosting/popularity reasons). I would reason that during periods of activity, Mess's server averages around 15 people(as in, 10-20 during gameplay). Playing on stock/stock-sized maps can get repetitive. Cut Man is the obvious example: Matches will end in under 60 seconds, be it the zombie is mobbed instantly or the mob becomes a zombie. This is why CSCM12-14 get mapvoted the most - size. So for the purpose of DWRage, a map like Ice Man X is more interesting than Dark Man X, even if DMX is a more "traditional" map. The map would be terrible for duel - no one in their right mind would host CSCM in duel! (you even have me dueling on Fire Man X in a total nonsense-fest) Now considering the map in this light, it makes a great deal more sense. I considered the original map passable as is(apparently not due to FPS) and the downsizing as simple tidying. I said that because the map would be played on a server that mostly had 12+ people. On the other hand, I do not consider MM4PHA or MM5STA appropiate sizes for most remix maps. A few, such as MM1DW1X or TOPX etc. would fit in that size but those maps are more "medium". The term I suggested for the Remix maps was "Redux" but the idea I would suggest is "supersized". mm1dw1x, MM2DW1X, MM1BOMX/CUTX/ICEX (yes, even ICEX!), DC1X, PHAX (damn I really should give Mess more credit) are great examples of this. elex, neex, etc. not so much.

Quote from: "Messatsu"
Quote from: "SaviorSword"
Mess, I've noticed ya butchered plenty of maps in the past without the creator's consent, so I assumed that ya would continue to do so.
Ya know, for the most part that line is BS.  In 95% of cases I get the creators permission to make modifications.  There are some times where I cannot contact them in a given time frame, but on a whole that is what I try to do.  (Centaur man remixed had gravity hold on the floor originally, kinda a problem) I will never make LARGE changes to a map without getting explicit permission though.  It's one thing to swap out a gravity hold, or make a top spin harder to obtain.   It's completely different to rework the flow of a map by adding or removing rooms.  Some people I am more comfortable making changes with than others, it depends on the person.  Most of the time I just fix up textures and sectors where necessary.
Skuuuuuulllllllllll Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! (cough) There's your 5%, heh. Actually though I will defend Mess on this one - while sure, it would be nice to make the maps more non-roboenza friendly and have Mess patch them up when necessary, if Mess did so it would encourage map makers to submit low-quality maps with the expectation of Messatsu fixing them, MORE than he already does. Say Mess had fixed CSCM13's numerous problems in the 1st release, such as lack of shading, lighting, or non-retarded transitions between rooms. It would set a bad precedent - someone would be content sending a garbage map to Mess, instead of fixing it and learning the know-how. and it would have stupid gimmicks like teleport destinations on top of tall pillars with a power weapon. Mess can help the other half this implication, of course, by demanding map improvements BEFORE release - which I believe is going on now. After all, half the motivation to improve a map is gone after it's been "accepted" into the standard 8BDM Map pack! Since before you had to scrape the floors for boring maps like CSCM01-08 (don't remember what 09 is but it's probably equally forgettable), but now everyone wants a piece of the action. So, I'd suggest, Mess, (lol random 2nd person switch) you choose between the two paths that regard to size:

1) "Size is good!" route: Work to get as many maps in, by helping new mapmakers push those "struggling" maps into "passable" area.
2) "Size is bad!" route: Size will probably become an issue soon, so instead: look at CSCM01-08 (jesus, what IS 09!?) and say: "Do I really want all these maps to be considered acceptable? (even if I made them)" Everyone likes CSCM04 so keep that one, expanding the interior halls of course to make it more 20-person friendly, and CSCM06 since that's a classic. I can make a long argument against the "first set" if you'd like to read it but the main one is: They're all basically the same "retextured donut" with relatively little difference in overall layout. Since you like the public opinion (I'm not a huge fan lol) you could put up a poll saying "Do you want all the original maps kept?" in which people will pick either option 1 or option 2 above in their reasoning with Option 1 being those "I like everything, everyone is good!" people.

That wasn't the actual route 2, it was a tangent about squeezing down CSCM. What I MEANT was: rather than reserving map rejection for MTH/ozx-style maps, you'll get a little tighter control as to encourage only higher-quality maps. Still no skulltag, but I'll be curious to look at quix when I can. I really want to post a screen of PHAX and caption it "This is interesting map design" but I'll save it until the coup de grace is necessary.

Direct a command to no one, and no one will answer. (hint: the bystander effect, it also won't save you from rape/murder/subway trains etc.) You want real-live testing, go to a skype chat and post it there. That way, it's not "released" (and is still a virgin map) so people won't complain it's unfinished. However, if you want people to look at your map before it's finished, I would still recommend finishing it up as much as possible. You can't feedback what's not there. Most people who play it will simply say "it's good" or "it's not good/I don't like this one part" which don't really help you much. You want help in an area, be specific as possible and address a mapmaker and they can give you better help when you narrow it down. You want pure ideas I'm your man, but I have no skulltag right now so I'm no more man than some roll skin users. Oops. The other thing being: this is not really a topic to get feedback on maps that exist outside the pack (SSW has explained this to Beed), so I wouldn't look for it here. Tralala!

I say go with the skins. It's still really easy to differentiate the assassin from everyone else just by his methods of play and how he approaches other players. So why not make it have some kind of visual diversity?

This still appears to be a problem, and should be fixed if it can be.

It's easiER to locate him by recognition of players. OJ's post is a condensed version of my point earlier. Also note that if the idea you're suggesting was implemented, it would become harder to differentiate him by play style (after all, if the assassin's not the only one with a single melee attack, it's not as obvious who it is). And if that part became more difficult, then turning skins back to force people to rely on skin recognition doesn't make sense. (why make the effort to make one aspect of recognition more difficult, but you want skins/easy mode?)

I vote no skins/STFUPPLWHOWANTSKINS, and quote OJ for *actual* truth; not some belief that caters to simplicity.

Making the game more like Who Dunnit makes sense, however.

edit: +NOSKIN wins, marking a great triumph over the masses of custom skins. Hoorah! Also I'd support Sniper Joe replacing the base, for some variety. If Ken's "melee base" weapon is implemented, though, I think it'd make sense to use a skin that has a "punch" animation. (Power mega man adaptor skin would be easy to use; Duo's would be difficult to animate but hilarious)
