I had dreamed of a Vile model with a grey-outlining! You have crushed my dreams!! ..Maybe not but if I had how would you sleep at night?! HUH!? TELL ME THAT!

This will be the last of the adjustments. I trimmed the ears, changed the black outline to a darkish grey/brown instead of pure black (not sure if that is an issue, aka required to have black?) and I added an ammo strap to the Front Runner. This is about all I can think to change without doing an overhaul on portions and detail. I think it looks good though.



I'd help you with more but I don't know how to do anything else. XD

I made some additional edits. The head was still too large so I reduced the size again and it may still be too large, (disproportional really) but this about best I can do with my non-existent paint skills, hah. Other than that, I re-did the stance so that it is more of a triangle, instead of a rectangle. I also enlarged the face guard on the headgear and re-did the shading on the helmet. Slightly adjusted the Front Runner to make it appear more complete. Finally, I got to the upper torso body armor and I'm just not sure what to do with it. Most of the detail has to be done by lighting and it is really difficult, at least for me. So I leave that up to you, I made one generic as you sort of had it already and another one with some light body armor modification near the waist to give it some more flavor because else it just looks dead empty. Either way, looks half way decent I think.

MMX is the one I like the most. I tweaked the front standing pose a little bit, I would have done more but I have to head out in a few. I centered the symbol on headgear, added lighting on the leggings and reduced the size of the headgear at the top. It was kinda big.

I think for me, the last boss in Demon's Crest takes the cake. He is only challenging if you don't use any potions. I really felt they balanced the game well enough that with the proper upgrades you would be on par for every boss so I never wanted to use 'em. Besides, full potions is literally equal to having 5 sub-tanks in a megaman boss fight. How could you lose? The last boss is really pushing it though, that guy is tough without any potions. I love that game, I still have the original SNES cartridge laying around here somewhere.

I really really want a Vile skin!! (Who would have guessed, right?) I tried to scan over the forums to see if someone had already made it but alas, all I managed to find was nothing but varies other robot masters not being squeezed to death by Vile's ride armor! Those were probably just editing mistakes.

Anyway, I did scan over Cutman's do-it yourself thread and noticed you did need sprites to craft the animations from so I searched high and low and managed to scrap up these sweet spreadsheets. I thought about doing it myself but I'm not completely sure I understand Cutman's thread instructions and since I'm inexperienced, I'd probably just butcher it.

I think I like the regular X1 Vile the most, without ride armor. The X3 is alright too though.

P.S - If someone wants to do the Ride Armor, I'd prefer the one crushing megaman to death in one hand so I can kill people with the other hand.  Thanks guys!

BTW, I can now confirm the reason behind UNFADED's name. According to Saviorsword, it IS because it sounds cool. He was going to list a second reason, but I never really saw it. Or maybe, he never actually wrote it. Either way, I'm now content with this topic.

A little history lesson (which nobody probably knew) of where the name came from. At first, it was more or less out of the blue when VXLoneWolfXV decided to create a guild/clan deal. Originally he wanted to call us the Mavericks, and durin' that time the first 4 members/leaders all had to agree on a name. I was the only one opposed to "Mavericks" since I feel it's just an overused word. We (Muzaru, LoneWolf, Stiki, and me) then brainstormed some other ideas. Some of the rejected names include: Kingdom, Freedom, Free, Pure, Timeless. Timeless was suggested by me, but only rejected by Stiki (used to be MM8). He did like the concept of "Timeless" however, and we eventually reworked the word to Unfaded.

Some trivia facts:
When we were comin' up with the name. we all went to an empty server at Dive Man's stage. Wolf had to go afk and the map switched to Gyro Man because of the time limit from the server. Later, it went to Blizzard Man when the 3 of us presented Unfaded to LoneWolf after he came back from his business.

Hah, that is interesting. I probably would have offered to join you had you decided to name it Mavericks, not that you would have wanted something as vile as me but it is sort of fitting though, no? :-)

Increase the range on Quick Boomerang.

Increase the energy cost for Dive Missile and slightly increase the damage.

Reduce the rate of fire and damage of Magnet Missile.

Increase the projectile speed of Gemini Laser and increase the duration before it dissipates.

Slightly increase the projectile speed of Search Snake and slightly increase the energy cost per shot.

Allow Plant Barrier to deflect similar (if not all and more) attacks as Leaf Shield.

Increase the damage of Spark Shock.

Slightly increase the rate of fire for Blizzard Attack.

Slightly decrease the energy cost of Bubble Lead.

Allow a slow-firing Mega Buster (similar to Proto's) to be usable while Skull Barrier is on and reduce the amount of energy restored by energy capsules for it.

I'm not sure if the initial idea was an attempt to make everything balanced or if weaponry was designed with tiers in mind. It makes it difficult to judge.
