« on: April 08, 2011, 03:05:36 AM »
Plot: After CutmanMike created mm8bdm, -RanRan started dominating the server network! He's taken over the other moderators and forced them to do their bidding! CutmanMike is uncertain as to what to do about -RanRan. Rawk, with a strong sense of justice, asks to be turned into a fighting robot. Thus, Rawk Hawk is born.

Eight mm8bdm personalities have taken the eight medals that will open the Moderator's castle, which will allow Rawk Hawk to complete his task!

CutmanMike as Dr. Light-type character
Rawk Hawk as Mega Man-type character

Looks like this thing will be finished on Monday night, April 4th.

Can anyone have a server up for it then?

Yes, if you were trying the old ones, go with xdm01 through xdm08.  If that doesn't work then I have no idea what you're doing wrong.

Ah. Sorry; I didn't see where that was posted.

Sorry for the double post, but V1B has been released.  Here's the list of changes again for those who didn't read the first post.

-Deathmatch Map level codes changed.
-Under the Sea's Time Stopper has been replaced with Gravity Hold and the platform made slightly smaller
-Power Stone temporarily replaced in Sky Deck
-Ballade Cracker replaced with Flash Stopper in Sky Deck
-Dive Missile replaced with Magnet Missile in Whomp's Fortress
-Halls of Mirrors fixed in Sunset Canyon (Software mode)

Check the first post for the download.  Note that this was a quick fix for only the more serious issues.

Um....is it just me, or can we not go to the x-pack maps when the wad is in the server?

I tried votemap a few times, getting the maps right, and it stated that the maps do not exist.

Am I screwing up, is this an April fools joke gone bad, or is something really wrong here?

I can host now if you guys want. Decent internet atm.

I'd appreciate it if you did.

I'm online right now.

Kapus is online, but hes in a server with a wad that unavailable for public download.

Rawk Hawk (to my knowledge) currently isn't online, but is due to appear at some point.

So are we still on for today (Thursday)?

Updated first post. I was going to start my tournament in the middle of April, but I'll postpone it until the first week of May.

Anyway, I still appreciate the feedback; I'll need it to determine what kind of tourney it will be.

EDIT: To properly account for those who want an LMS or TLMS tournament, I made those available options. Make sure you vote again to distinguish your game preference.

I really don't care what it is, as long as there's an organized timeline of due dates and such.

I promise you there will be a timeline, though I will be open to exceptions is the case a player can't make the dates given. It has to be a fairly good reason, though.

The general timeline will be something like a game a week or so.

rtist, the LAST thing we need is another tournament - All they do is tell us who NOT to play with on certain modes unless we want our arses kicked. The game was meant for FUN, not "OMFG H00 1S D4 BESTEST @ 33CH GAYM M00D LOLOMGWTFBBQROFLMAOWAT"

So really...no offense, but...I don't think we need another tourney for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG while.

I'm suggesting this as more of a test of V1D, not necessarily to see who's the best, per se.

I just noticed a lot of people spamming wind storm, which probably has a fire rate that's a little fast then what it was in mm6.

It's also a much harder weapon to dodge.

I suggest this be changed back to the old v1c version of the weapon, as that was fairly balanced by itself.

MM8BDM Discussion / New Tournament??

I'm thinking of hosting a new tournament, but I'm having trouble deciding what kind of tournament would be popular with folks. Please give me some idea as to what you folks would like to play.

After two weeks of this poll, I'll consider hosting the chosen tourney (EDIT: probably starting the first week of May).

So what'll it be?

Also, if you choose Other, please elaborate.

@Rtist I would expect Fawful to be in your Greatest Rivals corner...

I still think Fawful is Rawk Hawk, just for the record....

Ring and Water Wave and Power Stone

Those don't work against leaf shield.....or are you referring to something else?

Wind Man's stage has the Bass Buster. That is an excellent counter to Leaf Shield.

Not with the vast amount of life capsules on that level, it isn't.
