I'd say if he isn't ready to fight by the end of YD and SS's match, yes.
It's up to Stonefunk to decide this, but I like Rawk's idea. +1.

Here's my take on this, we can go on with one of two choices.

1) Either compromise in frags and have the frag count be 8-4 and finish up on a US server. First to get 10 total wins. I honestly don't like this idea.

2) Restart the match. Then play on a US and UK server. Once one person reaches 5 frags, switch to the other. Then combine the total of these two fights and whoever has more wins.

Not counting the llamas, Option one would continue at 8-5 in YD's favor (the round "ended" at 10-6).

I'm not sure if either player wants to really continue this slog, though. It's up to Savior and YD to come up with an acceptable compromise.

I say set a deadline to have an agreement (say, by wednesday [thursday in the UK?]) of this week, and if the deadline isn't met, Stonefunk's ruling should take effect.

Cutman

I do say my good sir, I can asplain!

Everyone was on Savior's server, when we saw the return of Cutbot. I jokingly renamed myself Cutman, followed by about 10 other Cutmen. We jokingly said to go to the roboenza server as cutmen, but it was too full and we left about a minute after. However, it would seem someone got lost, and that was likely who you saw.

And then I went into Magnet's server as Proper Grammar and was promptly banned because he's so paranoid.

LMAO

We thought that it was the same guy from earlier. That's why you got banned as you did.

Stonefunk, I'm tired of asking the same question over and over.

Please tell us: are llama kills legal or not?

Not sure if this is a funny story, but I found the whole situation amusing.

I was playing on a duel server today, and I, with several other players (Obelisk, Magnetman497, and a few others who arrived late) were simply enjoying ourselves when some role player (Cutman) showed up and started talking junk during the matches.

I was champion at the time, and I got to play Cutman on Dive Man's stage. Now, this level isn't very popular, but we still fought on it, with the guy still throwing insults during the game.

Note that the bot equivalent hurls insults too, but this guy was something else.

I won on Dive Man's stage, hitting the fraglimit at 5-0. Upon winning, he said that he'd "smoke" me on a real map and that I got lucky that time. When his turn came up again, he demanded we play on Drill Man's stage. saying that was the place where I would get "destroyed".

I was tired of hearing this role player talk junk, so I asked the server god (magnetman) if we could go to Drill Man's stage and if he could make the fraglimit 10. He did, and we were off and running....literally. This guy didn't fight well, but he knew how to run and collect health when he was wounded. It took a while to get any kills.

After about 15 minutes, I finally won the match 10-0. He failed to kill me even once in the two matches. The guy who said he'd smoke me got smoked himself.

After the game, he conceded defeat, but he said that I won because I got lucky and that he would be back. He left right after this.

I think its funny when a player talks junk and doesn't back it up, like this role player did. I (and the other players) had a good laugh about the experience after the games ended.

Magnet, this isn't pointless. I just want some clarification as to what the official rules of this tournament are.

Stonefunk, can you give us a reply?

I'd say, if I do fight again, we could fight on an US server and again, all Yellow Devil has to get is 2 frags, while I need 5.

Maybe it is harsh, but you did agree to play the final game on the EU server, savior. Even though it might lead to unfavorable circumstances for you, I think that agreement should stand.

So I made him start complaining? I'm sure he would have anyway.

Like I said, whether he would have complained about the match for some other issue isn't the point (and I believe that would be considered speculation, anyway). You started complaining about the map and the tactics that savior was using, and he was trying to respond to you. You distracted him, which led to the llamas in question.

Anyway, YD, Savior, Stonefunk, look up at my previous post; I believe I have an acceptable compromise on the table...

He was complaining too, that's a distraction  ;)
But you initiated the complaints; hence, you were the cause.

Look, I'm just going to offer this as a compromise since it seems that Stonefunk isn't going to reply right away: the match should continue at 8-5 in yellow devils favor on an EU server with Metal Man as the stage. Any further llamas will be deemed as illegal for the purposes of this match and no further (illegitimate) complaints concerning the level or tactics will be made by either party. Is this agreeable to both players (Yellow Devil/Saviorsword)?

If it isn't, we will have to wait for a ruling on the matter, and that might take a while.

Then again, if you both decide to come to some other agreement, I'm sure Stonefunk will accept it as such.

If Savior wanted to talk, a quick "wait" or "hold on" or something would've been sufficient. He was only talking to complain :/

He was responding to your complaints first, hence what I feel is a distraction (and a illegal llama).

Anyway, I've said my piece. I'll watch the game if it continues, but what I've stated is my honest assessment, nothing more and nothing less.

I think what we need is some clarification from stonefunk concerning the YD/Savior match. If we got a real ruling here, it would clear up some things.

The fact is (and you just admitted this, YD) that YD complained about Savior's map choice and his choice of tactics. Here's the thing: Savior had the right to choose the map and play however he wanted. YD's repeated complaints about this are unjustified, and a distraction.

Also, I would point out that Savior did agree to have the third and final game of the match on an EU server. Maybe this is unfair for the US player, but it was agreed upon. So, if the match should continue, I feel that it should continue on the EU server, because of that agreement.

The real question is the llama issue. Granted, there is no rule on the first page concerning this. However, I (and many other players) feel that llamas are by and large unsporting. It doesn't make sense to kill an opponent that might have a legitimate issue to raise during the match (say, a distraction or hardware problem for instance). Talking randomly is one thing, but raising an issue is another, and savior was not talking randomly; he was responding to YD's repeated complaints.

The question I raise for Stonefunk is this: should llamas be counted at legal kills? If so, then YD should be declared the winner of the match. If not, then those kills should be removed and the match continued on an EU server at 8-5 in favor of YD on Metal Man's stage (savior got a llama in revenge for the first one by YD, the last kill by YD was a clear llama).

Then again, Stonefunk might come up with a completely different ruling; I'm just stating what I would do if I were the tournament organizer. Since I'm not, it makes little difference what I say.

So, Stonefunk: are llamas legal kills or not? That is the issue here.

I thought you said you would give me credit for making the bracket. WHERE'S MY CREDIT. THAT FILENAME HAS YOUR NAME IN IT, NOT MINE.
Stonefunk, please make a schedule for matches. You asked us what times we are available. Now put those little stats to good use.

I told you about what I had intended after I posted the bracket again.

In other words, I hadn't gotten to correcting it...until now.

Godot, you and Devilthefox literally just missed one another 3 days ago when I was playing.

I think a forfeit win in this case may be a bit unsporting; devil indicated to me that he was looking forward to playing you, godot.
