Uber Sawnik = DeviltheFox, methinks.
That's because you DID do that. For about 3 minutes. And then I lost.
My third and final game against OJ was at Top Man's stage too (by OJ's selection), and I tried run a lot in that match. My plan was to stay away from close combat and to run when wounded.
I knew I didn't have the technical savvy OJ did (in terms of using top spin for quick kills), so I thought that fighting a distance war (and closing the gap to finish the kills) would be my best shot at winning.
I probably should have used the proto buster (and shield) more; I didn't. I also didn't execute my plan very well. OJ ended up dominating me on that map 10-3, which spelled the end of my tournament.
Oh well. So it goes.
I feel your pain, bluebrawl, but it really is up to the player to find solutions to the problems that his opponent throws at you. If you can't, then it justifies the opponent using the same (perhaps cheap) tactics in order to undermine you. Is it cheap to play this way? Perhaps. Is it illegal to play this way? Definitely not.
EDIT: There are 10 matches left (4 second round, 3 quarterfinals, 2 semifinals, and the final). I'm curious when the tournament will be finished. Even the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament is only a three-week affair at most.
