After WheelieCarbonate's recent ban, I decided to talk to him about it. He said that he was intentionally trying to get himself banned because of the perceived failings of the CutStuff community, and because of the belief that Korby had a personal vendetta against him.

And so, here we are. What do you think about Korby? Specifically, do you think he's doing a good job of moderating the forums? Please note that I'm not trying to stir up drama here, just trying to figure out if there's a genuine problem here or if Swuss was just butthurt.

The avatar he had the second time around wasn't significantly more suggestive than his current one. I agree, however, that you had a case for nixing the first one.

You know... Windows 8 does have a "classic desktop" mode.  You can pretty much ignore the Start Screen if you just add things to your Desktop Taskbar.  For example, on this Windows 8 laptop of mine, I have two folders as toolbars on my Taskbar; one for typical "Start Menu" items (web browsers, e-mail, "Run...") and one "Shortcuts" -- which are things I use more regularly than other things.

You can also just do like most people and flood your Windows 8 Desktop with icons.  :P
Except if you wanted to do that you might as well just copy progman.exe from Windows for Workgroups and use that as your shell. You should be able to use the license from your old laptop to install Windows 7 on your new laprop.

Musashi and Kapus speak the truth. I, for one, just look at Doomseeker, see that the populated MM8BDM servers are split between Saxton, Classes Saxton, not jumpmaze Obstacle Course and maybe some RP dudes bragging about their sexual prowess, just go "eh" and start up Spiral Knights.

That's not an inverse btw. That's more of an equivalence.

Anyway, I didn't expect the classes blocker to hold up for very long. If I did, I would have made the uncompiled ACS for it unavailable. It was intended to make hosting Classes Saxton (which is ludicrously unbalanced and liable to create 20-plus-minute stallfests) require thought and intent, as well as encouraging people to rebalance things while making workarounds. What the fact that it took something like a year for a workaround patch to be made (and that everyone simply switched to the earlier inferior versions) implies is left as an exercise for the reader.

Bug 1: You made this, thereby dooming the masterserver to be overrun by Saxton Hale forevermore.
Bug 2: You removed my classes breaker, thereby dooming the masterserver to be overrun by Classes Saxton forevermore.
Bug 3: You gave Morshu Wire Adaptor instead of making a Thunder Claw clone. That's going to be useless in about half of the maps available for MM8BDM, specifically the ones with low ceilings and/or an abundance of skybox.

Overall, though, you seem to have done okay with this. Though "rewriting from scratch" is rather an exaggeration, considering that a quick look in SLADE shows that you iterated on BalrogSH.
