Just fighting 2 sound way too easy, I think I might be wrong about vitamins...

Now I just need to get those EV reducing Berries so I can start over with some of my older Pokemon, I love them to much to just replace them. I hope the Dream World allows you to take a lot a a time, especially since it takes 26 of each to reset a Pokemon's stats in Gen V.


On another note, I heard VIZ isn't going to translate the Gen III arc of the "Pokemon Adventures" manga. I think this is really stupid considering a lot of important things happen in that arc... A member on DeviantArt made a petition in hopes of getting it translated. Though I'm not sure how well it'll work or if I'm even allowed to post a link to it...

Ok, let's see if I've got this right.

A Pokemon can have 252 EVs in a stat. If my Pokemon has Pokerus and a Macho Brace, that means a Heatmor that normally gives 2 Sp. Atk EVs will give 8, right?

If I divide 252 by 8 I get 31.5, which means I have to fight about 32 Heatmor to max out Sp. Atk, right?

And if I give the Pokemon 3 Calciums, then I only need to fight 2? Is this correct or am I missing something?

W-well, I already transferred ALL my Pokemon from Platinum and SoulSilver to Black, so I don't have access to them any more... In Gen V it's the only way...

Ah, I had already done research a few day ago, but the first link gave me some additional information that's helped me understand a little better, so thank you!

I go to Bulbapedia for EV yield, natures and base species stats, since they update often.

I've been basing what stat to EV train in on what stat is boosted by their nature, what is naturally high for their species, or what their best IV is.

So, if I'm understanding what I've read correctly, I've been doing it right, right? I just wanna make sure I'm not messing them up, since the only way to get EV lowering berries is through the Dream World...

Well, I do like to play online, so I do want their stats to be pretty high...
But I've heard EV training can cause to stats you're not focusing on to become rather low, I think I'd rather them be balanced...

So I'm trying out "EV training" on Pokemon Black, and I was just wondering, how necessary is EV training? Like, will their stats be terrible if I don't EV train? Or will their stats be more balanced if I don't EV train?

fun fact: they have always gone on about the graphics. do you not remember the bit wars?
and surely the whole point of a commercial is the show the gameplay, thats like the main part of a game! (unless it's an rpg tee hee hee)

Oh, I know that. I just mean, I was watching a bunch of old video game commercials on Youtube a while ago and they were so much more creative... I don't mind showing off the gameplay, but at least tell us a little more about the game.

A few nights ago I saw a commercial for a game and was just a guy shooting stuff for a few seconds, then they showed us the name of the game and it was over. Didn't even tell us the protagonist's name...

I actually pay a lot of attention to commercials. While there are many I really like, there are a few kinds that I really can't stand,

1. The ones where the super smart wife has to show her dumb husband how to do something. They're a little offensive... At least I think so.

2. When they tell you how "sexy" the product is or that it will make you super attractive. It's a little embarrassing to watch these around family and children... Plus it's just really annoying.

3. Video game commercials that go on about to awesome graphics/gameplay. What happened to the good old days when we at least got a short explanation of the story?

Gee, I don't know... I usually like to train to Pokemon myself so I can keep track of their EVs and stuff, so I don't think I'd give the Trapinch for it, but maybe one of the ledgendaries if your still interested...

Aw, sorry about the Beldum, it wasn't shiny though, was it? Maybe I could breed one for you, since I finally got Wi-Fi on my DS...

I would really like an offer for my shiny Trapinch, perhaps I should take that to the Black and White thread later?

Anyway, Donugee and I watched an episode of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" for the first time the other night. It's a pretty good show, no wonder every one likes it so much.

I found all my shinies randomly,unless you know how,do NOT use PokeRadar.Run around in the grass or use the Repel trick OR use the Masuda breeding method.

Repel trick? Isn't that used to find high-level/rare Pokemon? How does it help find shinies?

I've actually caught two other shinies, a Trapinch and an Arbok, but those are Pokemon I already own and I really don't like owning two of the same Pokemon.

I still have the Trapinch in case I come across someone who has something I really want, like a shiny of a Pokemon I don't have or something really, really rare....

I gave the Arbok to Donugee as a present.

Oh, man! I finally caught my very own shiny! It's too bad Joltik/Galvantula don't have a very big difference in color when they're shiny, but I guess that doesn't really matter. I was having a really bad day when I caught it too, of course it really cheered me up!
