Looks like I'm not the only one who's late to the series.
I had JUST picked up MGS2 *Not Substance version, unfortunately* for a dollar at gamestop, and I have yet to play it.
Does one need to know a whole lot about it's predecessor before playing? This is my first Metal Gear Solid game, so I know very little about the story line.

Technically no, the fictional chronology is different then the actual release date of the MGS lineup.

Fictional Chronology:
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
Metal Gear
Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

The ones in bold are relevant to the story line, and if you want to fully understand everything about the MGS universe, then those are the games to play. (They're also the games that I've played and would recommend).

Alright, we did a *Test* (Smunch Vs. DarkAura) HD Recorded, while Awbawlisk and I voiced. We'll see the results when HD sends me the files and mess around with them, editing and whatnot.

When I have the results I'll post them up.
Anyone else who wants to jump on this wagon just reply.

The Plan:
Attempt to organize a cast to commentate and record several duel matches within the tourney.

The How:
4 People to commentate per cast (that means, per video, their can be 4 commentators. We can work a rotation so everyone who wants to can commentate.)
1 Person to record the match. Someone needs to determine if the commentary should or should not be done live. It all depends on our computer prowess.

Sorry mate, I just found an Idea Tube. I wouldn't have room for a new pair of shoes :/ All I can take is a hat of some sort. It's still up for trade though, just not in exchange for an item in the engineer misc. category.

Metal Gear Solid 3

Best game ever. Literally, it's the best game ever. Name a legendary-good game, I'll prefer MGS3.

MGS2, on the other hand... ugh... I hate Raiden. He's so whiny. And beard-less.

My thoughts exactly. MGS4 is a close second and may be the only reason to buy a PS3.
Metal Gear Twin Snakes for Game Cube is also a blast, the Psycho Mantis Boss is one of my favorite boss battles.
