The only thing I use Ganondorf for is Home Run Contest.

I like that they thought to put FLUDD on Mario, though I agree the way it is now is pretty bad.

So, what with the Brawl tournament going on, I figure this would be a good topic to revive (rather than start a new one). If the tournament has piqued your interest, this is the place to post friend codes to satisfy your itch to Brawl.

Currently in the tourney, we've got the DK bros dominating the tournament, and an interesting Ganondorf VS. Captain Falcon fight on deck. That ought to be interesting. I've gotta give kudos to The Rush for having the guts to use what most consider the worst character in the game.

I've beaten many with my RU team, but I know where your coming from. All the OU Pokemon just seem too cheap for me, so I'm makin' a UU team now.

You do realize that a Pokemon's tier is not determined by its prowess, but by its usage, right? Pokemon in the OU tier share only one trait universally; they are all literally overused. While this can, and often does, mean that Pokemon in the OU tier are among the best competitively for any given niche, the opposite is not as true. In other words, Pokemon in the UU and RU tiers aren't necessarily worse or, to use your terms, less cheap; they are simply and literally used less often.

That being said, take a look at some UU Pokemon; Togekiss, Sableye, and Chandelure are often the definition of 'cheap' for many competitive players.

I also don't understand why people restrict themselves from using Legendary Pokemon. The only thing that truly classifies Pokemon as 'Legendary' is their status in the manga/anime/video game storylines. Non-Uber Legendary Pokemon are non-Uber for a reason.

MM8BDM Discussion / Re: Why do we need the same WAD(S) keys?
« on: June 13, 2012, 07:55:04 PM »
I'm not sure I quite understand.

Any WADs (extra files in addition to MM8BDM-v2c.pk3) that a server hosts must be downloaded by any clients wishing to join. This is because WADs add levels, modes, or other content that is played on the server, and if you don't have the file, you don't have the content, so you can't play. It's similar to trying to play on a regular Doom 2 game without doom2.wad, except you're halfway there for MM8BDM servers.

For a quick and easy guide on how to get up to speed with WADs, check out these helpful threads:
http://cutstuff.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=4202
http://cutstuff.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=3865

If it's not a matter of not knowing how to configure or download WADs, and more a matter of not wanting to do so, I'm afraid I can't help you there. However, CMM has requested that server hosts host more vanilla (meaning, requiring no WADs but the main pk3) servers, and there has been a noticeable increase in said servers.

Yeah but I won the Captain Falcon Bridge Standoff Battle of Great Justice

Excellent fights, OJ. Everyone else, do work.

563
Everyone has lag while playing online Brawl Rozark. If I were you, I probably would not have chosen Sonic for that reason though.

OJ (assuming HD has the actual bracket on the first post), I kindly request that you come at me  :ugeek:

If you won't be satisfied until we redo it, very well. As for the first match, it can still count; I lost a life first, then you lost three lives afterwards. I am able to redo our matches now, if you like.

Rozark (Sonic) and I (Wolf) have had our bout.

Anything Goes / Re: Spamthread V.2
« on: April 11, 2012, 01:00:06 AM »
I already informed many people here about what was going to be a month or two-month long absence of mine. I am making this post to let you all know that my absence will probably be indefinitely extended beyond that period.

I love this community, and despite the fact that I won't be around for a while, I never want it to deteriorate. I can say with some certainty that I'll check back sometime, but even if I don't, this place will mean so much to me. Some of the most incredible individuals I know share their personalities, talents, and lives with Cutstuff, and that's the truth.

So good-bye, I suppose, and long live Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch and its community!

Lobsters and I have had our bout.

I won Rounds 1 and 2, which means I'm ready to fight Swissy when he is ready.

570
I still haven't seen Lobsters. So uh.... yeah.
