Mega Man Discussion / Wan the Man

WAN THE MAN

Basically I'm doing a fan game. What makes this different from every other fan game ever? It has original ideas that aren't boss and weapon names. I'm making this in Flash(Client only if possible though) but I might change to something else later. Anywhoo~

The plot...
well I haven't done much with it. I'm thinking of having it like X6 with Pre-Game dialouge in each cutscene but skipable via Start(Enter) button. But for now, theres nothing story wise.

The 8-big Boss(es)
ahhhhhh this is probably where it all started. Every boss will have their name ending with a "Sue" sound. It was the first idea I had and even though it might suck, I'm keeping the idea.

I'll get around to posting everything else when I have time to do so. I'm currently in a the library so yeah, no time to get into everything. I will also go into what everything is inspired by. But until then~ 3 Free internetz for whoever gets what "Wan the Man" is referencing.

When I get to Rockman 6 I'll be using a patch to fix the sliding so its more like 4 and 5's sliding. I can't deal with 6's sliding =<

Now I'd LOVE to do MM8, 9, and 10, however I have no stable way of recording it. 8 is a possibility if I can clean up my computer, get some more ram, and that 2 TB external hard drive. However as it currently stands, 8, 9, and 10 are of limits. I'll consider RM&F but I'd rather not push my luck.

Now I'd go and look at MM7SHA, MM5STO or MM7DW3 but I'm kind of away from any good computer.
Basically how do you make those bridges that you can go under? I thought it might be transfer heights but I'm pretty sure that's not it.
Asking now because if I don't ill forget.

I've recently been making map(s) and now shall make a topic showing off their awfulness.

Currently the first map is DONE. I just need someone to loop the music tracks. Theres also texture alligning and a bug with the water that need fixing.

MM8BDM Discussion / Nu Complains about Weapon Balance

~THIS IS ALL SARCASM DON'T TAKE ANY OF THE SUGGESTIONS SERIOUSLY~

HELLO ONE AND ALL! This is me, complaing about balance. Here I will list every weapon, why its UP or OP, and a suggested Buff/Nerf because NONE OF THEM ARE BALANCED DAMN IT!

Mega Buster: Mega Buster has decent damage and decent speed. Its op because it has unlimited ammo and you always have it.
Suggested Nerf: Half the Rate of Fire and give it a very slow rechargable ammo bar.

Proto Buster: Proto Buster is UP because it doesn't get the same normal firing Mega gets, and his charged attack is too hard to hit with.
Suggested Buff: Make the charge shot an alt fire and make it go 2x fast. Normal attack now fires old mega buster shots.

Bass Buster: Bass buster is OP because its fast. 'Nuff said.
Suggested Nerf: When you activate it, give it a timer for 10 seconds. Once the time is up you lose it.

Ballade Cracker: Ballade is UP because its not in very many maps and has a weak splash.
Suggested Buff: Place it in every map.

Screw Crusher: UP Because it only get 3 bounces before its destroyed.
Suggested Buff: Remove upun player death or contact with an enemy.

Mirror Buster: OP Because pepole bind it and when they're getting attackted, switch to it.
Suggested Nerf: Remove from duels

Sakugarne: Sakugarne is OP because you get a HUGE Jump boost and can 1HKO
Suggested Nerf: Half damage and jump height

Rolling Cutter: Cutter is UP because of how long it takes before you can fire another shot and it often gets stuck.
Suggested Buff: Make the cutter faster and go through walls.

Super Arm: Super Arm is OP because it can 1HKO if it hits the enemy at a certain angle and you can defend yourself at close range with OpenGL.
Suggested Nerf: To stop the constant 1HKO'ing Half the damage and make it only be able to pick up Guts Blocks like in Mega Man 1.

Ice Slasher: Ice is OP because at close range, there's no surviving. You get hit, you're dead. You can get caught off guard and die.
Suggested Nerf: Half the speed and rate of fire and make it have a stun effect only, which you can't switch weapons during.

Hyper Bomb: Hyper Bomb's are OP because you throw them, pepole die.
Suggested Nerf: Remove explosion delay so they can't be used as mines.

Fire Storm: Fire Storm is UP because it can't be used long range. Not to mention its hugging job was given away to Star Crash >:<
Suggested Buff: Have the fire shot home in and do 2x more damage than it currently does.

Elec Beam: Elec Beam is UP because the side beams are border line useless.
Suggested Buff: Remove the side beams and add their damage to the front beam.

Air Shooter: Air Shooter is OP because its a close range 2HKO and can hit long range by aiming downwards.
Suggested Nerf: Make it move a lot slower and give it 3 shots without needing to refill.

Quick Boomerang: Quick is UP because it has barely ANY range and the boomerang affect it has is useless.
Suggested Buff: Make it go out till it hits a wall and have it have a sideways boomerang effect.

Leaf Sheild: Leaf Sheild is UP because a lot of weapons can go through it, and doesn't do much on the offensive side.
Suggested Buff: Make it reflect 100% of attacks and be a 1HKO if you're hit with the sheild.

Crash Bomb: Crash Bomb is UP because its way too hard to hit anything with and its pittiful ammo can't doesn't help.
Suggested Buff: 3x ammo and have Auto Aim built into the weapon or something.

Time Stopper: It stops time... ITS OP! If you controll the power of time, you're god.
Suggested Nerf: Remove from the game.

Metal Blades: Blades are UP because they're too easy to dodge and have too small of an ammo count.
Suggested Buff: Make the blades 5x bigger and 2x the ammo count.

Atomic Fire: FIRE IS OP GEWGHEWFEW. It does around 300 damage for such a short charge legnth.
Suggested Nerf: Make it a 30 second charge and half the ammo count.

Bubble Lead: Bubble is UP because its a search snake that can't climb.
Suggested buff: Make it climb.

Search Snakes: They're OP because they can climb walls which is unfair because they sneak up on you.
Suggested Nerf: Dont allow them to climb.

Needle Cannon: Its UP because it has a very slow speed but high rate of fire making it a poor long distance attack.
Suggested Buff: SGC Needle Cannon

Top Spin: Top Spin is UP because you dont get nearly enough ammo for it.
Suggested Buff: Make it more like the original and have it drain 1 bar per hit.

Shadow Blade: Blade is OP because it comes back to you making it a beast at close range.
Suggested Nerf: Make it fly off like a slow, weaker metal blade that you can only have one on at a time.

Magnet Missle: OP because they piss everyone the fuck off.
Suggested Nerf: Erase them from the Space Time Continum

Gemini Laser: UP,it moves WAY TOO SLOW and to get it do do ANYTHING you have to waste two bars of it.
Suggested buff: Triple the speed and ammo count.

Hard Knuckle: Its UP because it has a recoil which can sometimes knock you into pits.
Suggested Buff: If you fall into a pit with it equippted it acts like beat.

Spark Shock: OP OP OP. It freezes your opponete in place so you can just keep attacking with it and they can't do anything.
Suggested Nerf: Remove the stun affect and double the damage delt.

Knight Crush: If you're hit with it at the end of its shot, you get 1HKO'd.
Suggested Nerf: Less damage, less speed, less sanity.

Yamato Spear: Didn't it peirce shields in the original game? Also it runs out WAY too quickly.
Suggested Buff: Ripping Affect and 3x more ammo.

Plant Barrier: Health on demand? Way too over powered.
Suggested Nerf: Make it a lot slower and recover half of the health it does currently.

Blizzard Attack: Such little ammo for how much damage each snow flake does.
Suggested Buff: 2x ammo and 4x damage

Wind Storm: The newer updates have been making this suck more and more, no random damage? No flinging wildy?
Suggested Buff: V1C Wind Storm!

Flame Blast: They can be set and pepole can then trip on them and die! Ouch!
Suggested Nerf: Remove flame pillar effect and half the damage.

Silver Tomahawk: The arc makes it VERY hard to hit stuff with it, it shouldn't be that hard >:<
Suggested Buff: Remove arc

Centaur Flash: AOE, OP.
Suggested Nerf: KILL ETTT

Rolling Cutter: This weapon for the most part is fine. I dont see how it went to this seeing as the ingame counterpart is NOTHING like this, but whatever. Pepole complain this weapon is op, and, to a degree, I have to agree. The main problem for me is the same issue I have with magnets. Spam this weapon, and you win. Although for Rolling Cutter its every mode, not just duel. I feel the super power of this weapon might be a bias with CMM loving cut man and all.

Super Arm: Pepole say this weapon is OP because it can 1HKO. It VERY difficult to hit someone like that, though so I dont agree with that. Pepole also say its OP because if you're using OpenGL, you can aim straight downward. What beneffit does that have, again? Most weapons are long range and the only realy close range that could be taken advantage of is Slash Claw. I just dont see the OP.

Mega Man Discussion / Rockman 4 MI

Incase any of you don't know, Rockman 4 MI is probably one of the most extensive Mega Man ROM hacks ever created. Its just riddled with ASM hacking. Its currently not finished but getting updates rapidly. It goes to Wily 2, but doesn't have Cossack 4 but that stage is promised to be epic.

Help & Editing / Execution could not continue

"Execution could not continue.

Could not create new screen (640 x 480): 00000000"

That's an error I randomly get when trying to open Skulltag, I have no idea what causes it and no idea how to fix it aside from restarting my computer which is a pain to do every time it happens.
So, what is it and how to fix? =/
