Mega Man Discussion / Intorducing: Megaman Colosseum!

I have to admit I still am a bit afraid of this project but as I said Stage 1 will begin shortly and depending on the results of that I will see the success of this project.

Right. Many of you are probably already thinking of what it is. And I hope you don't get disappointed.
Introducing Megaman Colosseum (temporary name), the first fan-made Trading Card game!

Now hear me out. My plan is simple: develop a card game with Megaman characters, locations, events and items, within all series! We will start with a deck of 70 cards, 10 by each series, plus 10 bonus cards. Soon I will show you all the rules I have written down so you can know how this will head to.
Let me give you a small taste of the project. As I said I want to do a card game representing the most possible number of stuff we love so much in Megaman games. However I had even more ideas. I want to make this game the first cross of card,board and RPG(?) games in one (I am still working with the rules in the RPG part). Something unique that can make the difference... yeah I'm like that. I want to make a difference in the Megaman fandom world. What can I say? I dream high.

Now let's begin.

Stage 1.1 - Introduction and recruitment


This is very simple. Spread the world. Probably some of you don't like card games but like Megaman, tell your card maniac friends about this. You have a list of people and different jobs we will need here.

The rules will be posted on deviantArt, in my account. After Stage 1 I will consider making a forum/website to store them there.

Stage 1.2 - Main plot

Why yes. This will have a plot, a story behind of why there are Megaman characters from different times and dimensions fighting against each other. My first suggestion is to make a completely different story. This Stage will not begin before I close Stage 1.1. In the meantime you will have my vision of story and don't forget you can submit your own to.

MM8BDM Discussion / so what do I do with all these files?

Seriously, over the last months there have been several updates of teh mods liek Classes or Rage Roboenza...

And I still keep the old files... I'm just questioning if there could be any reason to keep them or then just delete the old files and let the new ones.

Help & Editing / Let's suppose I want to do a mod...

So what kind of things do I need?

Let's see:

Skins
Maps
Weapons

And classes if i want to combo it with that one.

Seems fun but hard to do but still I want to try out in my free time.
I've actually found turorials for skins and maps and I was all exicted when I realised that it creates one file per skin/map.

So how I get everything into one pack?

And before I even start.. I'm planning to do a Megaman Legends mod with charecters like Megaman, Roll Data, Bon, the servbots... with Megaman's weapons, and city/ruins maps. Anyone alredy doing this?

If so I shouldn't even bother, it was just an idea (you know like that minecraft mod, that's awesome)

Here are some of my ideas:

Apple market map: Full of corridors and occasional warp teleporters in the stores, also the weapons will be standing in the store's windows.

Mother Area map: fileld with floating islands (you drop adn you are dead) to go to the next island there is a teleporter at the edge of each island.

Glyde airship force: Pretty much like the motehr area but with planes instead of islands, the middle one "king Glydon" being the biggest and having rooms inside. Also the king Glydon will fire a death beam occasionally.

Gesellschaft map: GREEN EVERYWHERE; complex ship, some windows outside which have ladders to access higher levels. Proably will feature places from "the misadventures of Tron bonne"

Main gate map: Complex labyrinth fileld with corridors and occasional traps. There are three big circular rooms.


Now about weapons and items:

Hunter Seeker: Fires two sattelites which fire lasers. The sattelites will disappear after a short period of time.

Hyper Shell: Forces the player to stand still while firing, upon impact it explodes into a ball of fire.

Active buster: rapid-fire homing missles, uses a lot of energy

Shining laser: Constant stream of laser with short range as long as the button is pressed.

Crusher: Throws a bomb which explodes on impact creating a temporary field of lightning which forces nearby opponents (and user) to be dragged to it until it fades, can only fire 4 with max weapon energy.

Data call: when activated, Data appears in front of you healing everyone near him.

Gorbeshu Shield: replaces normal buster, as long as the user is still it draws a sheild in front of him which protects against fire (except explosions)

lifter: replaces buster, stuns a nearby opponet sending him flying (think gravity hold but only with the player in front of you)

Jetskates: think waveman's bikes.

Buster upgrade: randomly increases one stat of the buster: attack, rapid fire, travel speed.



So what you guys think?
Also if I ever start doing this I would love some help as well.

What title says. i mostly use DoomSeeker to acess the online games... which ends with me with Quint skin whcih I like but...

I discovered a better one... pk3 file I think *chicks* yeah

SO How do I use those without haveing the usual trouble of getting in for not having the same files in my skulltag executable?
