IMO EU game companies should start giving bad imports to non-EU countries. I know that seems harsh but revenge in this situation seems like a really good thing.
Well 712 I am by all means no European but however, giving bad import countries isn't fair to them in my opinion. Just shipping bad imports to them would just stoop you to the same level of the gaming companies. Gaming companies these days, except Valve of course, but that could possibly change anyways, gaming companies these days only care about big business and what would give them more money to put in their pockets. Capcom, as you know, is a really great example of a company of that caliber, and I mean absolutely no offense whatsoever by saying this. But maybe the big companies see Europe as a place that is slightly less profitable, especially with your recent economic problems within the last year. Yes, I am aware that England uses pounds and pences, and is not part of the Euro zone, but part of Europe nonetheless, neighbors in a continent with countries that are part of the Euro zone. So European countries that are not part of the Euro zone have been unfortunately plagued with extreme geographical bad luck. Those Europeans who are part of countries within the Euro zone, I mean no offense to you either, I am just stating research I did recently relating to economics in Europe. Of course it has been awhile since I last looked at Europe's economy, so I do not know if the Euro zone is still having problems or not, I just know that Greece and Spain are still having problems, I do not know about other countries yet. However, I do know that Germany had some problems with it's economy this year, and I hope for the Euro zone countries' quick economic recovery. Anyways, it all ties back to big business and who or what is more profitable, give Europe who has had recent economic problems complete, well translated, more expensive to make games, or the cheaper version, with horrible translations or voice acting or whatever deformities it may have, yet is less expensive to make? Or delay the game until we make a profit off of other countries so we won't be drastically affected by Europe being less profitable? The answer is quite obvious. Again, I mean no offense saying these things, and apologize to anyone who may be offended by my statements, I am just looking at it from a point of view of a big business company. Anywho, it all ties back to this: would you really want to give other countries the bad imports? Would it be fair to them? No, it wouldn't, we're all against Capcom, who only cares about money and big business, yet if you say that you should give other countries the bad imports would make you just as greedy as companies like Capcom. Europe is a very nice place and has really nice people, as proven by this community and it's European members. But unfortunately, big business companies don't see things the way we do. So 712, after reading this, would you really make the same choice as in the post that has been quoted?
On a completely unrelated note to economy and whatnot, Valve is planning on going to the console market. They are going to make a console, which, when I read it, was dumbfounded and taken by surprise. The console will actually feature the Steam online market, and you get games that way, instead of taking trips to the store hoping that your local GameStop didn't sell out of copies of the newest title. So Valve is going to the console market, how do you feel about it Cutstuff?
