My ideas:
    CutmanMike being the Mario-type character (good all-around)
     Each person who is a boss could choose if they wanted to build their own stage
     Unlockable items, characters, concept art, etc.

SSBB is all of those.
Platformer == SSBB story mode.
Fighter == Boss fights in story mode / fights in free-for-all

Y'know, instead of Korby or Ivory being the main characters, why not CutmanMike himself? Perhaps the rest of the Cutstuff community, excluding Alucard, could be playable characters as well.

Can I be a boss? Or at least a (possibly plentiful) enemy.

Separate enemy idea: one of those chicken little bots that say "the sky is falling" over and over, which becomes more and more high pitched until they explode when trying to attack the character you play as. Just basically copy the one that the Chicken Little videogame had.

Well, the sky isn't exactly the limit, but above y position 127.0, blocks no longer appear. At least, I think it was 127.0

Also, someone should make a picture out of something OTHER THAN WOOL.

Try making Minecraft, itself.

Since the channel was +T, which, on UnrealIRCd, (which is what the IRC servers that Ustream uses run on for the chat) means "No Notices", I couldn't do it. My friend, TheGeek1024, had channel op powers and this is what came up after:
