Time to go back on topic.

I believe Mega Man having an ability to copy other weapons would be pretty appropriate.

Normal attacks should be just.. Ya know, kicks, punches, nothing special.

Side/up/down smash attacks.. Too hard to decide, with so many options in the classic series. I'd say side smash could just fire a projectile. A random one. They have different rarity and power. Can be Mega Buster (no knockback, just adds %), Metal Blade (slightly more damage, rips through the enemies), Needle Cannon, etc. One from each game in the series, with different effects. But to prevent spam, the limit of 3 on the screen would apply.

Neutral smash.. Yeah, that would have to be sort of copy ability. Maybe just a grabbing attack. You grab the opponent, then get his power (cartoon style, "Gimme five, Mustache Dood!"). Not necessarily the same as the opponent's neutral smash, but generally somewhat related to whoever you copied it from. Oh, and colours wouldn't change, that could be confusing if 2 Mega Men copied the same power

One problem with it is the uselessness during the campaign (assuming there will be one), but then again, Kirby's copy is useless too

Right

Easiest:
MM1: GutsMan! DUNN DUNNNNNNNN
MM2: CrashMan. Tedious, but very predictable
MM3: TopMan.
MM4: rofl ToadMan
MM5: StarMan
MM6: WindMan, pretty hard to get hit by him
MM7: JunkMan is fairly easy I guess
MM8: What
MM9: SplashWoman. GalaxyMan can at least randomly decide to fly towards me. Splash always does the same thing
MM10: BladeMan, if you know how. There is a way to beat him without even taking the risk of getting hit

Hardest:
MM1: ElecMan. I don't think I ever beat him without his weakness
MM2: Goddamn QuickMan.
MM3: ShadowMan. Too random
MM4: Either DrillMan or PharaonMan, can't decide
MM5: ChargeMan. When I decided to beat the boss rush using only the M. Buster, he was giving me the most trouble
MM6: TomahawkMan.
MM7: SlashMan. Why did they have to give him the attack where he starts throwing Bob the red stuff at you?
MM8: What
MM9: MagmaMan. While I have a pattern that I could use to kill him with no damage, it requires good reflexes. And sometimes I just lose focus and get hit with each jump he makes  :lol:
MM10: NitroMan.

Hi.

I recently bought Mega Man 9. Going to keep playing until I have all the challenges done. But I will eventually get Mega Man 10 too, get everything I can, etc.

UND I'd like to try one of the endless modes. My question is - from your experience, which game - MM9 or MM10 has the better endless mode?

I could get both of course, and I'm kinda tempted to do that. But.. If you think one is way better than the other, I'll just spend them points on some special stages/characters/modes/whatever

I have Doomseeker, but it shows all files as MISSING. Does it need to be in the exact folder where all the .wads are?

So I've been trying to join some servers recently

AUTHENTICATION FAILED. MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THE EXACT SA.. yes, yes I am

Didn't have a chance to try joining servers with no .wads at all, but it seems I can't join anything that has MM8BDM-v1d.wad, even though I do have the file, and I do add it in the launcher. Is it possible that there are 2 different files with that name, and I have an outdated one?

Ok.. Is there any way to make them work in campaign?

Or maybe it's because the .rar file does not contain any .wad files?

There's BOTINFO, which.. has no extension, it's just a file. And chats folder, which contains files for stuff that bots can say

Erm..

Wait.. If you do the expansions one by one (assuming you'll do more someday).. Then the only maps with MM10 weapons on them will be the MM10 maps.

Unless you re-release the game with MM7/8/9/10 weapons with each expansion (including the weapons and characters [story mode] in already existing stages). I think you should release all 4 at once.. But I guess it's too late now, since the players can't wait for MM7.. But you can still delay MM8 until 9 and 10 are done.
