Have you sent it to the publishers yet?

If people want to be Mega Man, they'll use Mega Man, not a boring recolor.

But if they want Tox Man... they'll make Tox-Man-ade?

MORE SENSIBLE EDIT: I'm not really sure what else you could do with Tox Man, though...

Actually, it looked fine to me.  I don't mind its being a Megaman edit too much, and I don't really know what you could've done differently (especially given we've just been going off of the picture on the first page for everything).  :?

If it's all right with Blaze I would say you could keep it.

Yeah, you're right, Jodar; I found the Sniper Joe (and also a Met!) in this video, around 2:31...
(click to show/hide)
I never realized those were there, though-- that's pretty cool!

Also, those musics are pretty neat, Lament.  I didn't know all those were out there!  It might be fun to have a pack of relevant musics with the expansion, even if we don't necessarily have the stages to go with them...

Except that the original game has no music...  :D

Though actually I think Kackebango started to compose music for the maps, back on page 3, and I know he finished at least one incredibly awesome track.

Also, which Robot Masters are done/taken already?  I think Blaze did Wave Man, and I'm pretty sure someone did Volt Man.  I've got Sonic Man, I guess Kage has Blade Man, and apparently LlamaHombre has Torch Man, and Ice has taken both Coroqs.  Since a lot of the bosses are just edits of Mega Man robots, I could rip the official MM8BDM sprites to base skins on into a spritesheet for anyone that wants to take one on.  (I think Star Dood was asking for that a while back, anyway...)

EDIT: Also, I found this song that Kackebango linked to here as well, and I just found out that LlamaHombre gave up on Torch Man and left a WIP, and that Star Dood has Oil Man and Dyna Man in progress.  So yeah!

Go for the Giant Suzy skin!  You can do it!

So, uh... is it okay to keep Sonic Man floating and/or go ahead and skin him?  I kinda like it this way, and it's less work for me doh hoh.

I think moving to a new topic might be a good idea, since it would make updating the front page easier, at least, as well as make it easier for people to see what needs to be done, and maybe even lend the project a bit more focus (though it seems to be moving along fine right now).  The only downside would be needing to dig the old topic up when we need to find something previously finished, like in WIP form or something.

The question would be, who should start the topic?  I would be willing to do it, but it certainly doesn't need to be me, or even use my list; I was just trying to recap what we have so far.

If we do decide to move over, I would suggest we decide on a leader/leaders to send our finished work to before the move.

I and Shade Guy have both volunteered for some degree of authority (and maybe some others?), and I guess Kapus is okay with assembling stuff for people, though he doesn't want to be the leader.

What do yous guys think?

Hey guys,

I updated Sonic Man with his fatter air tank and made him float while firing.  Also, I included how he looks with the blue and cyan replaced, just so you can tell how the colors will work out (since I used non-changing blues for his air tank and eyes, as well as some yellow), and I tried to indicate my plan as far as which frames will make up the walking.

(Sorry for the bright fuschia background; I just use it by habit.)

Do you guys (and/or Blaze) like it?  If so, I can go ahead and skin it.

Also, I like how Dyna Man is looking so far!  But do you think that maybe you should keep the skin color where it is on the original and move the cyan elsewhere (gloves, boots, or head), so as to maintain that ordinary-guy-in-a-suit vibe you kinda get from the original?

As far as the arm length thing, I noticed that it was on the original spritesheet; do you guys think it should be fixed for the skin?

If it's okay with you guys, I'ma take Poppy Bros. Jr.

Also, once I get my lists updated, do you guys mind my making another long post with all of it in spoilers?

I think he sent what he had to Magnetman, who said he finished it up for him (back on page 27 or so)...  I dunno if we can still get it for the pack or not.

Shotzo looks really good, though-- nice work!

Yay for a pk3!  Thanks, Kapus.  If there's anything you need me to send you, let me know.

EDIT: Also, I totally agree with you, Shade Guy-- I think that would be a great idea.

Brawlman:  Thanks!  I think you're right, Mr. X didn't finish Pengi/Ping/Master Peng.  I do think he left what he had in case someone wanted to finish it, back on page 21 or so, so I guess if someone wants to do that they can pick it up.  I'll mark him as unfinished on the list.

Kapus: Thanks for straightening all that out for me, Kapus; I'll get that fixed on the list. :geek:

Aura: Those look great-- I think they would probably work well in-game!  The Hammer sprites look really good, too.

Lament: I'm not sure who you'd send them to yet; I think we need to designate someone as a leader, who would be willing to assemble all the different parts of the expansion into the final playable wad.  Like I said earlier, if no one else really wants to, I would be willing to take it on...

Also also, Lego, do you want me to take you off of your weapons on the weapons list?

Yeah, Whispy Jr. probably would be out of place, but I think a normal Whispy skin (probably sized down quite a bit) might work-- he could walk around like in Kirby's Dreamland 3, and make his grumpy-lookin' face when he attacks.  Definitely he would fit best as an obstacle/boss in the Vegetable Valley level someplace, though.  Maybe both?

As for the Warp Star, would not work like a weapon. I'd suggest using Warp Stars as a repacement for teleporters.

That might work; another possibility I had thought of was making doors on the wall be teleporters, by having invisible teleporter boxes near wall-textures.  Maybe?

EDIT: Also, I don't think I've seen a Sir Slippy skin anywhere (though I might be wrong), so unless somebody says something it's probably safe, I guess.

I think Whispy Woods has been debated about before, but I put him on there in case people still wanted it...
Also, I don't think Warp Star was on Magnetman's original list, but I guess I just left that on there when I was making up the chart since it seemed potentially feasible.  Something like a flying version of the battery powerup from Kirby's Air Ride, maybe?
