Hey everyone! I figured I would kind of bump this topic just to say that I am still intending to keep working on this expansion-- I've just been super-duper busy with college-y stuff for a while. My apologies to everyone that I've left hanging for so long, and thanks to the people that have contributed that I haven't acknowledged yet! I'll try to finish up the things that people may be waiting for me on, as soon as I can.

A couple of things to let people know... DarkAura has made a good deal of progress on his weapons (they're very cool!), but he's said that he's done with them for now, if someone else would like to finish them up. Also, just so maps-people know, Kapus has said that he has some Kirby tilesets from his RM7FC mod that could be used, if anyone is interested. And, lastly, I think that, unless anyone protests, I'm going to take out some of the dumb stuff that I put on the to-do list earlier that really shouldn't be there (i.e., Parasol skin, multiple maps per world).
Also, Kapus and I were talking about something that I thought I should get a public opinion on. What with weapons, skins, and maps, this expansion isn't so much of an expansion on MM8BDM as it is almost a whole separate NES-style Skulltag mod on its own. To remedy this, there are a couple of things we could do. We could release each part of the expansion as a separate WAD (a skins WAD, a maps WAD, a weapons WAD), so that each part could be used on its own with the rest of the game-- this would make the expansion seem more integrated with MM8BDM, and people might be more inclined to use one single part of it than the whole thing, anyway.
Alternately, we could adjust the weapons, so that they work the same as the Vanilla 8BDM weapons, with ammo bars and such. OR, we could just drop the weapons altogether, which could help to get the expansion done more quickly, and to make it seem more like an expansion than its own mod. Plus, people might be more likely to play it, since maps and skins get used much more often than custom weapons. I think as far as dropping the weapons, though, it really depends on whether people would be interested in seeing weapons and helping to make them. At the same time, it seems like a shame to let all the work that's already been done on weapons go to waste!
Anyways, I want to hear what the peoples have to say!
Also 100th post on the thread :P
EDIT: Also, nice work on the sprites, Star Dood, Forte, and Metool! I'll update the OP when I get the chance. #verylate
