Well, the religion part is relevant since the guy who predicted the end of the world was going to happen in May or something was over religious.

Funny thing is I actually beat the StarFox for SNES in under an hour one day out of boredom.  It is not nearly as enjoyable as the N64 one, but it was still good.

I never really cared for any Battle Network games that weren't 2, 3, or 5, to be honest.

For some reason, those are the top 3 best games in the BN series for me. The first one way annoying and somewhat primative and the last one was waaaay too short and easy.
