If I heard that as a kid, I would have shat brix. Thank god I got the Sapphire version. I guess it's the simplicity of the music that makes it more scary than the sapphire version.

Stat-boosters are awesome, as you'll see in a bit. But about Gen I - my two "tanks" were Snorlax and Rhydon (EASILY the best ground type in r/b). I wouldn't drop Rhydon for any other ground.

But right now, seeing how Tyranitar was one of my favorites in Gen II, I'm considering making a sandstorm team. My idea is:
-Tyranitar
-Gliscor
-Carracosta
-Metagross
-Excadrill
-Garchomp? Not sure about the last one (maybe Skarmory, Aerodactyl or Terrakion)

My idea being sand support gives HUGE benefits to mainly Costa/Drill but also the others as well, and the negative Leftovers aspect sounds threatening. There could be more mons I'm not thinking of, so haven't started yet. I try and minimize weaknesses as much as possible when thinking teams.

In the meantime, I call hax on post-game events. It's time FOR THE ADVENTURES OF ROC!

Yes, you can get dragonite by evolving a Dratini. They are caught by fishing for them in the water right out the Dragonspiral Tower building

I can't really think up of any good grass types from Gen I nor ground types. The only pokemon I'm thinking of right now is Nidoking.

You should also think about including Dragonite too. Despite his 4x weakness to ice, his stat boost from Dragonair to Dragonite is pretty awesome, so it's worth evolving.
