Mega Man Discussion / Re: Ninja Wily

Quote from: "Beed28"
So, this thread was originally nitpicking Ninja Wily. We have gone way offtopic, so I'll nitpick the beginning of the same episode, when Yuuta is playing Rockman 5. Let's count the inaccuracies I spotted:

1. Mega Man's health bar isn't visible.
2. The platforms at the end of Star Man's stage aren't moving up and down.
3. Star Man's stage theme continues to play into the boss fight.
4. "I can beat this guy." Sure you can. Star Man's the EASIEST boss in the game!! Also, you later mention that this was the last guy. Wouldn't you be better off killing him with Water Wave?
5. Star Man's health bar also isn't visible.
6. Star Man does not align his Star Crash into a line and fires. He throws the shield in the actual game.
7. Mega Man's charged shot is not supposed to knock Star Man back.
8. The game is not supposed to automatically pause when Yuuta's mother turns off the TV. When Yuuta eventually gets back to the game, he should have come back to Mega Man in the boss corridor beforehand because Star Man would have been able to kill him by then.
9. "Aw, mum, I'm almost there! After this, I can go to Dr. Wily's level!" Uh, excuse me, are we forgetting something, or somewhere? Are you forgetting that you have to go through Proto Man's Castle first?
10. Star Man's stage theme does not continue to play through the rest of the game.
11. Also, holy bouncing jelly cities on a trampoline how did you get to the end of Wily Stage 2 already?!
12. Pillars aren't supposed to be there in the background when fighting Dr. Wily. In fact there can't be any background at all because the background tiles would have been taken up by the Wily Machine and Wily Capsule since both are too big to be simple sprites.
13. The video game characters are not supposed to be self-aware. Therefore, Dr. Wily should not be able to escape the game world!!!!
14. Didn't Dr. Light get kidnapped in the game? I wonder how he's doing in that cage...

I have an explanation for a few of these. For 4 and 9, maybe it was Yuuta's first time playing Mega Man 5 even though he could have played previous games in the series. So of course he wouldn't know that he had to go through Proto Man's castle first before the Wily stages, nor could he have figured out the weakness of Star Man for the same reasons.

For 8, maybe Yuuta paused the game as soon as his mom turned off the tv.

For 11, I guess the people who made this episode decided to let time go by offscreen even though it appears that he only started playing again from Star Man's stage all the way to the end of Wily's stage 2 within a few seconds. Then again...when comparing the two clocks in this episode from when Yuuta started playing again to when the father showed up I noticed a contradiction in the time. When Yuuta started playing again it looked like it was around 11:50 pm. However, the other clock with the father looked like it was around 11:04 pm, 46 minutes before Yuuta started playing again. I could be reading these clocks wrong somehow, but this show already has enough inconsistencies as it is. I suppose it could make sense if the scenes were purposely switched around I guess, but I don't know why they would do this though.

Other than those, I agree with the rest of them. Are these people just too lazy to put anything other than Star Man's stage theme in there? Also don't forget the part where Rush randomly showed up when Yuuta pressed the buttons with his foot while sleeping.

How about an extra life upgrade that revives you at your current position. However, you will still die by falling in a pit and maybe spikes too, and it will only work once per stage not life. For example: If you die against a boss, the exploding animation will take place but it would come back to you, and you will essentially be revived from that spot but with only half your hp or just 1 hp remaining assuming you didn't lose any life during the whole stage. So he would kind of work like Ninja Spy in Saxton Hale if you think of it that way.

Nothing is more futuristic than giving a metal coat on Godzilla.

The "2" design comes off to me as being a villain or even a rival to Beck. Otherwise, I prefer the the "3", "4" and Roll designs the most. It would definitely be cool if Call could have multiple unlockable clothing styles.

If I notice any insect or spider crawling on me, I will instantly freak out. Wild flying moths will also be enough. However, I'm fine if I just only see them (assuming they don't gather towards me).

I can't wait for the other hidden stretch goals to be revealed. I would be very excited if the one of the next stretch goals would be porting this game on the handhelds especially the 3DS.

I'm probably going to end up committing 120 to 250 dollars just to get at least all the normal goodies especially the guide. I wonder what would be more worth the cost? Having those extremely expensive goodies or being able to have dinner with the creator of Mega Man himself? Either way, it would be kind of hard to imagine who would spend this much money just for one of those prizes unless he/she is like some kind of millionaire or a very very dedicated fan.

Also that 3D artwork is just way too creepy....especially those eyes... o~o How can 2D artwork be transitioned into "that"?

Very recently I have been getting into more games in the "Tales of" series. A couple of specific ones are Tales of Phantasia and Tales of the Abyss.  I also got into a couple of violent yet interesting anime which include Baccano! and Attack on Titan.
