so i had this idea for awhile, though i was on the edge of 1v1 and 2v2 and decided 2v2 would be more suiting for brawl
the rules are similar to HD's past tourney:

1. You're gonna need Wi-Fi and be able to use it to fight the other players in the tourney.
2. You may pick 3 characters for use throughout the tourney. Once the characters are picked, others may still pick the same characters.
3. All matches will be 2 - 2 team matches, so grab a partner
4. This will be a double-elimination tourney. That means that your team isn't completely eliminated unless your team lost in the finals or your team lost twice. (I.E. Loser Bracket)
5. 3-stock, 8 minute matches will be played.
6. Items are off.
7. If the time runs out, the team with the most lives left total wins, if both teams have the same lives, the team with the lowest percentage total wins.
8. All matches are best of 3 EXCEPT winner's finals, loser's finals, and championship match, which is best out of 5.
9. Meta Knight is banned.
10. Don't be a dick and wait for the timelimit after one kill. I can't enforce this, but winning like this is extremely cheap, don'tcha think?
11. Each team picks a stage, then the last one is picked randomly. For the best of 5 matches, it goes team 1, 2, 1, 2, random.
