Welcome back! The second round of voting begins now. For those unfamiliar with double elimination rules, allow me to explain:

In order to be eliminated from the competition, a participant must suffer two (2) losses. While everyone begins on equal footing, the first loss will cause them to drop into the lower pool (corresponding to the losers bracket in a traditional bracket-style tournament), where they will continue to face off against other once-losers. Losing a second time will, of course, eliminate them from the game.

Rounds in the lower pool are carried out in two phases: minor and major. The minor phase is intended to reduce the number of competitors. The winners of the minor phase will advance to the major phase, where they will be matched against losers from the upper pool. This means that it's possible for someone in the upper pool to lose twice in one round and be eliminated. Nobody is safe! By the end of each future round, the number of competitors will be halved.

For those of you who don't care about the specifics: just keep on voting! We're at the stage where eliminations will begin to occur.

For scheduling reasons (and because we currently have an odd number of votes and 3 potential ties), I'm closing the polls now. 21 votes total!

Ring Man thought his fighting technique to be nigh unstoppable, but Gravity Man brought him back down to earth (Gravity Man 16-5).
Bubble Man surprised everyone when he (somehow) swam through the clouds and defeated Cloud Man within a leaden sky (Bubble Man 11-10).
Mega Water S went on the defensive to defeat Time Man by running down the clock, which didn't work for obvious reasons (Time Man 14-7).
Even Junk Man's veritable fortress of scrap couldn't keep him from being blown away by Air Man's righteous tempest (Air Man 15-6).
Search Man had the advantage until he got into a heated argument with himself. Skull Man laid it--and him--to rest (Skull Man 16-5).

Demonstrating his mastery over magnetic forces, Magnet Man rocked the boat hard enough to make Neptune seasick (Magnet Man 17-4).
Blizzard Man showed almost no patience for Venus's crabby attitude and took him down like he was nothin' at all (Blizzard Man 17-4).
The unstoppable force that is Yamato Man came at the immovable Jewel Man, proving that he wasn't so immovable after all (Yamato Man 11-10).
Clown Man was able to reach Gyro Man high above, but one Gyro Attack was all it took to turn Clown Man's arms into a pretzel (Gyro Man 15-6).
Denizens of the darkness clashed in a battle that only a lucky few could even see, until Shadow Man clipped Shade Man's wings (Shadow Man 12-9).

That brings the first round to its conclusion! From here, the winners and losers have been separated into upper and lower pools, and voting will continue shortly. Stay tuned!

In the event of a tie, I harass anyone who will listen and beg them to go cast a tiebreaker vote. So far, it's only happened once (Plant Man vs. Pump Man). It's inelegant, but it works.

On an unrelated (but opportunistic) note, I've included a link to a spreadsheet to allow voters (or spectators) to see tournament progress at a glance. Check it out on the front post, if you like!

Charge Man lurched forth with a single-minded fury, but Cold Man's deliberately-placed Ice Wall threw him completely off track (Cold Man 11-10).
The battle between Fuse Man and Quick Man unfolded, fast as lightning, but even without the Speed Gear, Fuse Man triumphed (Fuse Man 12-9).
In a sculpting contest, Ice Man was bested by Concrete Man, who erected a parka-clad statue that the judges unanimously described as "lifelike" (Concrete Man 16-5).
Oil Man proved his talent for skating, at least, since he never stopped moving until Spring Man ensnared him with his wiry limbs (Spring Man 14-7).
Bright Man's powerful light wasn't enough to flush Snake Man out of hiding, and he was toyed with until the predator finally pounced (Snake Man 17-4).

Splash Woman insisted on a karaoke contest, and Cut Man generously obliged. Unfortunately, he ended up being just a little too sharp (Splash Woman 14-7).
Stone Man was so mesmerized by Tundra Man's unrivaled grace and practiced technique, he was buried beneath an avalanche he never saw coming (Tundra Man 14-7).
Noble Knight Man fought valiantly against Terra the invader, shield unbreaking and flail unfailing, until the merciless Stardroid fell (Knight Man 12-9).
Crystal Man peered into the future and foresaw a humiliating defeat by Sword Man. Rather than suffer the ignominy, he decided to forfeit (Sword Man 12-9).
Quint attacked from above using his Sakugarne, but Tomahawk Man's rising Silver Tomahawks put a stop to it before he touched the ground (Tomahawk Man 16-5).

This is it: the final few bouts of the first round! Once the results are in, winners and losers will be separated into upper and lower pools, respectively, and voting will continue into the second round. For some, this will be an opportunity to further distinguish themselves; for others, one last chance to stay in the game. I hope you'll all watch with interest as things move forward.

Pharaoh Man was very grateful for the sacrificial hog and wasted no time in incinerating Hyper Storm H (Pharaoh Man 19-3).
Needle Man figured his cool new ice picks would give him the advantage, but Freeze Man turned him into a prickly popsicle (Freeze Man 13-9).
Commando Man's calculated bombing methods couldn't quite compare to Blast Man's manic and wild Chain Blast attacks (Blast Man 13-9).
In a head-to-head race, Nitro Man's motorized body outpaced Top Man's piddly little roller skates several times over (Nitro Man 19-3).
Torch Man's martial prowess and discipline saw him through Burner Man's tricks, traps, and unpredictable moves with ease (Torch Man 15-7).

Wave Burner may not work so well underwater, but Flame Man faced no such troubles, razing Pirate Man's ship from below (Flame Man 12-10).
Plug Man came out swinging with crackling arcs of electricity, but Enker's barrier spear made for a fine lightning rod (Enker 14-8).
In a digging contest, Punk's unconventional spinning form proved to be far more efficient than Drill Man tried-and-true methods (Punk 14-8).
Wood Man's protective veil of leaves allowed him to "weather" Toad Man's endless rainy season until he finally croaked (Wood Man 12-10).
It turns out Dynamo Man can't heal himself if his regenerative equipment has been obliterated by Ground Man's drills (Ground Man 15-7).

Off we go, then! Four more groups remain in Round 1.

Saturn put up a good fight, but Blade Man's swords are apparently sharp enough to cut through the very fabric of reality (Blade Man 15-8).
In a battle that rocked the firmament, Jupiter's thunder rolled above while Magma Man's magma burst forth from below--ineffectually (Jupiter 15-8).
Bounce Man had hoped to celebrate, but Dust Man wasn't having any of it. Glitter and confetti make such a mess, after all (Dust Man 18-5).
In one of the closest matches yet, Pump Man's ceaseless torrent proved to be too much for Plant Man's botanical body to bear (Pump Man 12-11).
In the face of Wave Man's veritable monsoon of water and harpoons both, Tornado Man triumphed with a mighty hurricane of his own (Tornado Man 15-8).

Here's where things change. My schedule is going to be pretty tumultuous for the foreseeable future, so the established routine will be disrupted. On top of that, many have expressed interest in a losers pool to give those that got difficult matchups in the first round a fighting chance, and after hashing out the logistics of it, I find myself in agreement.

So! In the interest of generally keeping up the pace, I'm going to be doubling up on groups. The trade-off is that updates will occur less frequently--around once every two days, time permitting. It's not how I wanted to go about it, but the fact is I have to set time aside to update this. Still, I'm hoping this will give others a little more time to make their voice heard--we'll see!

With that established, here are the next groups!

22 total votes today. I appreciate the pretty consistent voter turnout--it's helping things move more quickly than I expected!

Hornet Man and Guts Man both gave it everything they had, but in the end, Guts Man was left with the sting of defeat (Hornet Man 12-10).
Merucry's propensity for trickery and general foul play might lead some to believe that Uranus had his victory stolen from him (Mercury 15-7).
After an incredibly close battle, Buster Rod G landed a decisive blow over Star Man's noggin that left him seeing stars (Buster Rod G 12-10).
Metal Man's razor-sharp wit availed him little as Napalm Man unloaded an endless salvo of missiles and bombs on the poor guy (Napalm Man 18-4).
Heat Man's flaming tackle would have left quite an impression--if only he hadn't been fooled by Gemini Man's holographic clone (Gemini Man 13-9).

Thus concludes the third group's matches, with 23 votes total:

In a contest of flashy gimmicks and mysterious parlor tricks, Flash Man's Time Stopper was no match for Magic Man's showstopper (Magic Man 14-9).
With little effort on his part, Galaxy Man's esoteric cosmic power reduced Block Man (and his morale) to rubble in a matter of seconds (Galaxy Man 20-3).
Burst Man's bubbly traps had no meaningful effect on Tengu Man, who wielded his ha-uchiwa (and pointy mask) masterfully (Tengu Man 15-8).
Crash Man demolished Chill Man with a barrage of bombs, and then laid waste to the glacier he was studying, just because he could (Crash Man 14-9).
In the heat of the battle, Fire Man's spirit of justice burned bright, allowing him to weather Mars's endless onslaught and claim victory (Fire Man 14-9).

The results of the second group are as follows:

Frost Man barely triumphed over his opponent, Spark Man, and decided to celebrate his win with a victory popsicle (Frost Man 12-11).
Despite his enthusiasm, Impact Man was unable to PUNCH, PUMMEL or even PUUUULVERIZE Ballade, and was handily beaten (Ballade 15-8).
Bomb Man forgot to put on sunscreen before the match and quickly regretted his failure to prepare for Solar Man's fiery onslaught (Solar Man 18-5).
Though Acid Man managed to formulate a good strategy, he ultimately found himself defeated and lambasted by Sheep Man (Sheep Man 13-10).
Wind and electricity clashed in a battle that rocked the troposphere, but Elec Man managed to strike Wind Man down before long (Elec Man 16-7).

Thanks to everyone's contributions, we have our results for the first group:

Despite a strong initial showing, Astro Man was ultimately knocked into orbit by Hard Man's relentless fists (Hard Man 17-12).
In an incredibly one-sided match, Aqua Man was blown out of the water and out of the ballpark by Strike Man (Strike Man 24-5).
Even with raw horsepower on his side, Centaur Man found himself unable to keep up with Grenade Man's manic onslaught (Grenade Man 20-9).
Unsurprisingly, Pluto's animalistic instinct backfired on him when he froze like a deer in Turbo Man's headlights (Turbo Man 19-10).
In a battle of top-notch hunters, Slash Man was unable to conceal himself from Dive Man's all-knowing artillery (Dive Man 18-11).

Uploading it to TSPG will do you no good unless the server itself is going to run it (which players may not appreciate).

I suspect you're having the same problem that had me tearing my hair out while updating this thing. I put a note about it in the installation guide:
