Last I recall, anything after v7 was planned to be touch-ups and polish, and perhaps missing fortress stages (4, 5, and 6 Wily, for instance).

In any case, DOS and RM&F2 have been confirmed--more than once--to not be included in the core game. Things like that are what expansions are for.

V6 is MM10.
V7 is MMV.
No more. No less.
Anything else can be done via fan expansions. Currently popular non-core expansions that are WIP with the potential to finish are Dood's DOS Reborn and Maxine's Rock Force.

I don't mind the part if it's open world, that sounds quite nice.
The part that bothers me about this (visual quirks aside) is that there's too much space and not enough interesting features to make the world "entertaining".

The cave is the most dominant example of this. There's a lot of uninteresting flat land with seemingly little effort thrown into it (again, details aside because I'm going to go on a limb and say these aren't final). Walls seem to exist for the sole reason of breaking up this monotony and instead don't contribute or reinforce the floors.

The first screenshot was fine, but this latest batch of images seemed like a mess.

If you want to have the forums somewhat resemble how they used to be, head to your profile/Look and Layout.
Under current theme, switch it to Core. After that, the third checkbox should be "Use sidebar menus instead of dropdown menus when possible." make sure to enable that.

It won't exactly resemble the old site, but it should help some people with mild to severe cases of nostalgia for it.

There were a few recreational maps prior to this in mm8bdm, such as the infamous touhou wedding map. A few others are in Gummy's version of BME.

RozpackV4's BE link has been replaced with a TSPG link as a result.
I'll update 4.5 progress with a newsletter soon. The release date is still N/A; that whole "month after V5 thing" was a rough estimate. Stay fresh!

It's relevant enough and bug reporting/feedback on the forums for once instead of having to figure things out ambiguously through server stuff is actually nice. No need to worry about that.

This isn't a bug in particular but rather an inconsistency. My initial response is "I'll just leave it as is because that sort of thing happens all the time in maps", but I'll see what I can do when I get around to doing weapon and friction touchups for it.
