I think you might just need to update them. Is it only certain ones, or is it all of them? Also, what's your tauntpack version? Last I checked v5 was the most recent version.

Yea, it can be really punishing if he hits you with that. Really, you just gotta nail down the timing and run around him; there's no other way around it (no pun intended). Remember that after he reaches half-health (loses the first bar), all of his attacks are "buffed" substantially; for his charge attack, this means he can start charging again A LOT faster after he charges you once. If you bring him to half-health while he's in the charging phase, the sudden speed-up of charge attacks can catch you off-guard if you aren't prepared for it. Good luck!

One thing that's always confused me is that, even though Maestro was created by a different scientist, Light still refers to him indirectly (I'd assume he's referring to him, at least) by saying "...you [Rock] can't watch over every match. I'll have to contact my old robots..." in the intro, which would mean that he IS, indeed, a Light bot. My assumption could be off; Maestro could just have never been mentioned in the intro period, and just showed up on Light's doorstep right at the beginning of the tournament for no apparent reason, but if that's the case, there's a lot of missing story happening "off-screen" that you just have to fill with total conjecture, the following being my interpretation in this instance:

1.) Dr. Light contacts Scientist M, Maestro's creator, apart from the old robots he's contacting (which, in this case, would be the first DLN line).
2.) Scientist M sends Maestro to Light for one reason or another.
3.) Light is the one that boots up Maestro and helps calibrate his motor, cognitive, and weapons systems. This is where the player begins in a new game.

Such a huge chunk of information is missing if one assumes that Maestro isn't a Light bot that Light refers to in the intro as one of the "old robots". So then why does Light keep addressing Maestro as made by another creator?

No, when you use Magic Man, it creates a completely separate save that boots up by default. When you use Magic Man to return to the "present", it sets your magic save to 0, so that your original save will load by default.

As much as I love classic Megaman-style, I prefer having specific information displayed to me if I can help it, so I'll definitely try this out when I have time. Looks neat!

When you put it like that, it makes it even more sad to see Mega Man, who's always been the immovable beacon of "good" in the series against all odds (by choice, unlike what Duo seems), be driven into desperation as he fears being forgotten, always being nothing more than a side character in the fight against Wily. Heck, even Proto Man was more influential in helping you throughout the campaign than Mega Man was.
