MM8BDM Discussion / Re: Homies Unite!
« on: August 18, 2012, 02:50:59 AM »
I, the giant pink chameleon monster of the Cutstuff forums, welcome you and your troupe to the Custuff community! I don't have an issue with people joining us from Sly's channel and identifying themselves as his homies, just try not to get too carried away. The community isn't really used to having so many newcomers so I'm thinking that it'll take a while to adjust, but don't let that discourage you from getting involved with the community! We needed some new players to the game.

Orbitars and Palms are just too similar for me to distinguish them. I use claws the most, but I've also been getting into staffs and they have been working out alright for me.

Oh man Rozark, why are you so much better at this game then I am?
You were destroying me and Raveman in the games we were having.

I think my favourite weapon to use so far is the hedgehog claws.
They have +2 Paralysis and +1 Speed, making them great for chasing people down.
And the melee dash attack does a good 84 damage, not quite highest grade but it puts a nice hole in their health bar.

This game looks very promising. I'll probably be picking it up this weekend. That is really bad news for my homework..

And the only enemy I have ever associated with Kid Icarus is the Egg Plant Wizard. I'm glad he's making his big comeback as the major antagonist. He is possible the most compelling enemy I've ever faced. *Joking*.

I believe that I read a report somewhere that claimed that Nintendo has the ability to brick your Nintendo 3DS system permanently (Not even they can reverse it) and it is suspected that this is a measure against Piracy. It might also extend to hackers, so in one way or another hacking in Mario Kart 3DS hopefully won't be a rampant problem.

I remember once I was playing MKWii and the count down went something like this...
1.. *Red shell* 2.. *Blue shell, someone activates star power* 3... *Green shell barrage, big mushroom* ..Go!! *Bullet Bill*

It was pretty insane and hilarious. Mushroom Highway didn't even see the blue shell terrorists coming!

My task bar is completely orange. You WISH your task bar was as orange as mine.

Having worked with Clay before, I've always found it really difficult to keep the colours of the sculpture clean. This is some really good work here; my only complaint is that Quint's shine off his shades is a bit odd to look at by how it's stuck on. But it's a very minor complaint.

I've been using Paint for drawing lately. I like it because it's clean and simple, I just wish I had an actual drawing tablet instead of a mouse, though.

I recently dug out my old PS2, and I was delighted to find this game still in great working order.

Excuse me while I play this to get myself up to speed.

It's basically the N64's rival to Crash Bandicoot (Game play wise, anyways.) Though it surprisingly got a Game cube release.

An.. interesting game.  I'm sorry if this was already posted, but I have not seen it while I skimmed through this thread.  It also has a game boy release.

Rainbow Road is a remix of the N64 one, of which Double Dash is also a remix of.
MK7's rainbow road is a remix of the n64 version, but the Game Cube rainbow road tune is unique, isn't it?

Post 69? Yay??

I've recently have been trying to get into TF2 again, but after reducing the graphics to a ridiculous level to allow my lap top to run it like it used to be able to, I still am limited by the maps/servers I play on. So sadly, that means no tf2 highlander for me any time soon.

And wow, have things changed... I don't even know about half the weapons people use any more.

Ideas for arena cards:

Cut Man: A basic stage. Allowed Weps: Needle Cannon, Gemini Laser, Atomic Fire
Special: You can take two turns to reach the upper level and get one of the following: Rolling Cutter, Ice Slasher, Air Shooter, Napalm Bomb.

Toad Man: Not ready on weps yet, but you move a little bit in the direction the sewer is flowing each turn until you reach a pit and die. If you fall, you lose a frag.

Hopefully, I can come up with more.

It sounds interesting, but this kind of system looks like it would be really clunky to use in practice. Maybe if certain areas affected different sorts of robot masters in different ways, but I don't see how having a system that requires you to hold a piece of paper in front of you to remember the locations of weapons wouldn't be at least a bit annoying.

75%

The character looks nice and is cleanly cut into an avatar, but I don't recognize the character so I can't judge much past that.
