Anything Goes / Re: Anyone's art thread

I don't mean to be rude or anything, but that looks like something I've seen people make in MS paint.  If you want a good program to start making images like that, you could possibly try 'Paint.net' (Which is also completely free).  Gimp is a good program, but it takes a lot of learning and practice to get good results.

if it makes you feel better Joseph

I think this is pretty silly too
The same could be said by someone who doesn't play video games to someone who does.
It doesn't mean it isn't silly, but you can at least give them the benefit of the doubt.

I've RPed in other games before, but I'm not entirely sure how an RP in this particular
game would be like.  Can I register for it?  I don't know if I'll actually participate, but it
will be interesting to see what you guys are up to.  I may join if it looks like a good time.

I promise I'll behave (Though I understand if you would rather not have me around).

I didn't think my return was so noteworthy that you would change the name of the topic to let people know.

But it's nice to be back.

Bake man's desing is actually preety solid, kinda makes me wanna try spriting him.
The problem with earth man is that is was done a million times, and none of them were succesful desings, to be honest, and that beacuse "Earth Man" is a pretty vague concept, it's too...generalized. You should try a more specific concept than Earth Man.

I would have called him 'rock man' if you know who didn't exist, and 'stone man' was already taken.
I honestly haven't paid any sort of attention to what kinds of robot masters others have made.
It's not as if Capcom had terribly creative names, so I was hoping I could make interesting designs.

I need to work on this..

Here's a slightly better quality (But completely out of scale) Sprite of Bake man if you would like it.

The sprites for the most part look fine, though I can't quite rate them on being good Robot Masters. Earth would probably make a good stage enemy, though.

What kinds of things would you recommend for me to try to make my designs better?  I'm interested in making more.

I felt like making a robot master and thought they were pretty solid sprites.  I might make more robot masters if I get inspired concepts.

Would this be the kind of thing we could print off and cut out of a piece of paper?

Ahh. I see.

Actually, I don't have a 3DS. Instead, I have Super Mario 3D Land sitting on my dresser.

CURSE YOU, CRUEL FATE

I'll get one in abouat a week. I want to join some of you guys in racing.

I can relate (though my case isn't as severe). I got skyward sword for
Christmas but I still haven't been able to get wii motion plus.

On topic; I have never used to like doing time trials in Mario kart games,
but for some reason I really got into it this time around.  I like trying to top my friend's times then rubbing it in their faces.

You're next, Smash.

85/100

I'm not sure what kind of person that head belongs to, but the spriting style is simple and charming.

Let's hope that this time it goes a little better.  I'll make sure to be there when this one happens.

The large character select looks nice, but it doesn't look like Megaman is very happy about it. (Just look at his expression)

All I want to see is what happened to the original Megaman before X was released into the world.  They don't have anything on poor Mega in the X series at all except that X burrows some things off of him.

The jack in the box zombies always made me giggle for some reason, and the avatar is of great visual quality.

I never got the hang of Microsoft Paint,

same with paint.net
The only reason I would ever consider using MSpaint over any other program for artwork is simply because paint is so clean and simple.  I've made things using programs similar to Photoshop but I always end up making a big mess due to all of the different colours that goes into making a line in those programs.

You should totally join us for Friday Night Flagfest, bro.

Uh... sure.  I have MK7; just don't expect me to top the charts or anything.
