As seen multiple times on NorthernLion's streams, my favorite use of  SMOrc is;

(spoilers for stupidity and somewhat vulgarity)

Edit: And now it doesn't want to work, joy.

Any maps with the old style two way teleporters do not work what so ever, so if a map pack uses them (which I'm pretty sure at least 1 map in every one of them does), I would advise against it. However you can easily take such maps out of the rotation beforehand.

If you don't know what happens, actor hits floor now works when teleported onto the floor too so pretty much it gets stuck in a 0 tic loop and crashes the game.

Oh right, this thread. I guess I'll share that I have a deviantart I barely update on. (You can find that on my profile)

Anyways, here's a quickly thrown together Sonic drawing ripe out of my school sketchbook.

(click to show/hide)

Excuse the poor quality, my scanner is absolute ass so I just used my phone and imported onto my computer for that. Anyways the only major problem I can find, and its something I need to work on, is the legs. I see now after finishing it that I fucked up the foot and made it look like his left leg is shorter than his right. If you can find any other problems, let me know! Improvement is most definitely what I'm striving for here!

Also you can blame my art style for giving him a bit of a neck,  It just looks weird without it. Neckless sonic only works in the games and official art =P

So on the wiki just now there were a few people vandalizing it, not sure how to stop them myself but i think someone with admin powers has to pull out the ban hammer. From what I've heard when someone told me about this, is that it was this dude named Terry and his bunch of trolls who did this.

if its an FPS I will most likely use the mouse and keyboard, same with MOBAs and MMOs which really can't be played with controllers. In most other situations I'd try to take the controller option. I don't like the idea of play Sonic adventure or Dust with a keyboard. The only other genre I can think of where I wouldn't care about using a gamepad or not would be a turn based RPG unless its something like Paper Mario. However most of my emulators have my input for my gamepad already put in so I'd usually use that instead, less of a preference and more of a convenience.

Not really sure where else to post this, but I'm asking for an opinion from some other mappers on this forum.

I just made a new map, with some basic texturing and the layout is overall finished. Tweaking the layout, weapons and such will come later, but is it a good idea to either go on with the map and finish tweaking it and adding everything to it to make it more visually appealing? The other option would be coming up with a new concept for a map and creating the layout. I Don't know if I'd get more burned out from mapping by spending to much time in one map or spending too much time with coming up with layouts.

Thanks in advance to anyone who helps with this. I just really need some insight on this. Also sorry if this sounds confusing. Not really sure how to I could have worded this =P

So I kinda disappeared these last few months, I had PC problems and I got a little bored of 8BDM so I just took some time away. On the bright side I have returned with a more powerful PC and I kinda miss the days of playing this silly little game that ties us together! Glad to be back!

Now then, time to get back to mapping... =P

I play pretty damn often, well when my PC was working, and I visit cutstuff pretty often. I admit to being a bit of a jerk while playing, but it's all in good fun and competitiveness. Unless it's fr3akgamer I never mean any of my trash talking. However I'm in the minority when it comes to cutopians who still play the game often.

Something I would propose to solve the issue is the wonderful feature of Zandro called the ignore.

EDIT: I got ninja'd twice lol

I love shovel knight, its one of my favorite games of the year. Wanna know why? Because i had fun playing it, because i had fun failing a billion times, raging, and pressing forward. Shovel Knight is a lot like Mega Man in the way that it seems hard at first, but when you learn the stage it becomes fairly easy. And beating a stage or boss you had trouble with feels really rewarding in this game, even at the point where money is useless, I felt like I was getting rewarded for what I've done!

It isn't necessarily my number one game of the year, but I really love playing the game. It isn't broken by any means either.
